Music Lessons at Bath (specifically violin)
    Hi all,
I should ( touch wood!) be starting at Bath this autumn and I was wondering if anyone knew roughly how much I should expect to pay for the subsidised music lessons through the ICIA.
Also are there practice rooms I would have to go to rather than practising in my room at all, or is it only after a certain time in-room practice is an issue?

Hey, I am going (hopefully) to Bath this autumn as well and also play violin!
I dont know much about tuition at Bath but there is a music society and orchestra so if you join them you can ask people. Sorry, this wasn't really answering your question but I wanted to say hello to a fellow violinist!

I'm not exactly a violinist yet - I used to be up until the end of primary school and then the option letter for secondary school came round (my school is notorious for expensive peripatetic music lessons) and I saw the price and didn't want to waste my parents' money XD
One of my friends who's just done Grade 8 is going to teach me for a bit until uni to help me get back in the swing of things.

    What course are you doing?

Thats great that your getting back into it I think music will be a good way to make friends and meet new people and also Bath would be great for busking in
I am going to study Civil Engineering, provided I do well in the next few weeks
What course are you going to do if you dont mind me asking?

Hey, I was wondering what grade level you play at?
If lessons are expensive I may have to continue what I'm currently doing which is taking lessons from a grade 8ish student rather than a teacher teacher.

Well I was supposed to take my Grade 8 in the next few weeks, but postponed till christmas because of Exams and also going interrailing with friends.
I have done some teaching before, but mainly with younger children. If you wanted lessons though i'm sure we could come to some arrangement...

You could ask at Bath Spa as they have a music department?
