Re: S2 ocr mei 31st may statistics 2The 59 mark you got would have been out of 100 (i.e the UMS mark) if you got 59, I got 50, but didnt have any lessons for it or anything. Im worried about the work energy and power questions however.(Original post by albus)
What did you get in M2 last time, I got 59/72 which is a D in Jan12. -
Re: S2 ocr mei 31st may statistics 2Just did Jan 12, I don't get how the grade boundaries for that paper were so low when it wasn't that difficult compared to the other?(Original post by albus)
whats everyone doing now? -
Re: S2 ocr mei 31st may statistics 2How do you find the grade boundaries for specific papers?(Original post by skibur)

Also, i did that paper in a tested mock - i completely agree, it was much the same as other papers. I find that S2 is probably one of the better maths papers, in that you can pretty much be guranteed of what is going to be asked. -
Re: S2 ocr mei 31st may statistics 2They're on the mei website, it was 56 for an A whereas i have seen similar papers that have been 60+.(Original post by NJam)

I thought that paper was really good, looking at the mark scheme, I prob lost marks on the last part of last question.. I really don't know where I went wrong! Should have got paper back..
I'm prepared to attack the the paper tomorrow!
I hope it goes well

Yeah I agree plenty of things to stretch the A* candidates (Q3 I believe was a bit tricky) whilst still offering some easy marks.
Good luck, hope it goes well for you too

Re: S2 ocr mei 31st may statistics 2I'd say the regression line and PMCC are the easiest, I don't like Spearman's because sometimes I make mistakes on the ranking.(Original post by Vitanova)
I reeeeeeeeeally hope regression line comes up, it's like a free question
Concidering it's usually regression line or Spearmans rank coefficient I'd say that I may get my wish but knowing my luck it'll be Pearsons PMCC.
Since Jan12 was on Spearman's,
and Jun11 was on Regression Line,
I'm thinking PMCC will come up today. -
Re: S2 ocr mei 31st may statistics 2I got 66 for k first and then went back and added in the continuity correction and got k=65 but still not too sure!(Original post by sumsum123)
I messed up on a few questions. What did you get for k?? -
Re: S2 ocr mei 31st may statistics 2I got 66 but apparently I got my z value as a negative but it should have been positive.(Original post by shanban)
