Nice! Now you don't need to buy your own OR let your parents know you've lost your virginity!
Just take the condoms from them, they won't say a thing due to it being awkward and you profit through free condom and avoiding awkward conversations.

    Win all round.

Have you honestly not thought that if they are that old, they clearly arent still using them unless they bought a good thousand or two in bulk on the day they bought them. If they were using those condoms regulary they wouldn't have any left from all those years ago

Chemical changes over time (plus the spermicide is very mildly corrosive) = latex(not rubber) losing elasticity = prone to rip when stretched. Sex stretches condom therefore condom rips resulting in 18 years of being skint and underappreciated.
I love your touching explanation of the joys of parenthood

I was looking for my wallet (my 4-year-old brother likes to hide my stuff all over the place), and while looking in my parents' room I looked inside one of the drawers and I found some condoms, lubricant and pregnancy tests. But the boxes looked old, one box still had the plastic wrapping on it, but one of them had an expiry date of Jan 2009 on it... I don't know what to make of this? I don't want to bring it up with them, but surely they know they shouldn't use a condom that is over 3 years past its expiry date? Why is it still there? It's not like they just forgot about it either, we've only just recently moved house so they deliberately took it with them. I think my brother might have been an accidental pregnancy, I'm not sure. What should I do?
At least you didn't find a porn movie called 'Asian Blowjob' while your mum was clearing out her wardrobe... :zomg:

You should buy a cockring or dildo, and plant it there. Or buy new condoms and plant them there also. You could be your parents fairy sex mother.

Why do you care if your mum and dad are using out of date condoms? What's the worst that can happen? They might get preggers again? Big Deal. Pre-teens do it all the time.

And besides, they surely don't have dirty diseases like AIDS. If they did, they certainly wouldn't be sleeping together. All adults are responsible with that kind of judgement, I read it on NHSDIRECT.

I know my parents have sex, it's just that I don't understand why the expired condoms are there, especially when I'm pretty sure my brother's birth was accidental (I did overhear them once). I remember my dad becoming aggravated a lot during that period when my mum was pregnant too. Financially we couldn't cope with another child, I've heard that from them before.

So I should just not say anything then? I'm okay with them having sex but I'm just a bit on the edge if they're doing it where it's likely the condoms could easily fail...
Maybe they just forgot about them. It happens you know, if they are at the bottom of the draw. It really isn't that big of a deal and again it's not really something you need to go talk to them about. Don't worry about it, don't even think about it. Just get over it.

The expired condom in question was hidden underneath a book which my mum reads along with the pregnancy tests, lubricants, etc. which also all looked a bit old.

In combination with the lube, I would have to say - don't worry: your mum isn't going to get preggers if she is taking it up the chuff.

Its up to your parents, isn't? But, if you feel like theres a need to tell them, try using a subtle way like telling them bout "How your friend are pregnant because she didn't realise the condom is expired :awesome:"
