lol this is my last chance to get an A in this exam
What parts do you find difficult?
I just hope they don't ask for a long question where we have to write in a high level language as they always take too long

Ahh I'm hoping RAD comes up...easy marks it's the same querstion everytime.
    Just remember this

Rapid Application Development is where a prototype with reduced functionality is produced and tested/evaluated/shown to the end user/client in order to refine the next prototype. Each successive prototype improves on the predecessor. This cycle is repeated until the original objectives have been met/the product is complete. Also know as iterative development

    Advantages:
A working/tangible product can be seen early on in the devlopement process
More end user/client invlolvement - end user has more input and say into the final product.
Typically faster than oher development methods
    Uses CASE tools

    Disadvantages:
The final solution can vary greatly from the original prototype
Success depends on the extremely high technical skills of the developers.
This method may not be useful for large, unique or highly complex projects

here ya go, that should be enough info for every mark it can ask on RAD. Anything else you need help with?

Question for you, if I pass only one out of f451 and f452, can I carry on with computing in A2 and retake the exam I may have failed?

Of course, no one can stop you, although your college may advise you not you at the end of the day if you can explain why you failed the exam (e.g. lack of revision/drive/motivation) but you can improve nexy year of course you can take it.

In my first year I got an A in F451 and didn't revise for F452 (concentrating more on maths exams) and got a C. although this isn't a fail I took Computing because that is what I want to study at Uni. In your second year you just have to enter in for a resit which will cost. You can resit the exam twice if need be

Actually one more question What do I need to include if they ask me to draw a GUI?
When drawing out something like this you need to firstly, read the question and see whether or not it's asking you to draw a GUI, a data capture form (on PAPER!!) or a touch screen layout, etc.. This is where many people are caught out as they immediately jump to the conclusion that they're wanting a GUI, so be careful!!
The questions will often be about 6-8 marks so here are what they'll be looking for:
    • A good title AND a good use of provided space
    • Helpful instructions (BLOCK CAPITALS must be used, etc.)
    • Method of entering in numeric values (if required)
    • Method of entering text/string (if required)
    • Method of entering in boolean answers (radio boxes)
    • User facilities (search, reset form, print, etc.)
    • Outputs if necessary

Do all of these in the GUI question and the examiner will have no cause for complaint!!

Hope this has helped you with a bit of last minute revision
    Good luck for the exam!!
