What does "treatment is likely to be more superficial" mean in the mark scheme?

    What does "treatment is likely to be more superficial" mean in the mark scheme?

    In the Q4 in the criminal section of that mark scheme it says, that if both issues are discussed - treatment is likely to be superficial. I basically put after discussing s20, that he at least has the AR and MR of S20, but whether it could potentially amount to S18 depends on... and then started discussing that!

    So what does that mean? Is it a bad thing? Sorry... I'm stupid...

    Superficial means you don't go into it much. You'd be able to go much more into one thing if you wrote on it for the full time than try to cover two.
