Re: The Revenge threadAh thanks! After reading the comments on youtube seems like most people (including me) thought that the song was suited perfectly to the ending.(Original post by viix)
I'm not 100% sure but I think it was a song by Florence and the Machine, "seven devils" I think it's called.Last edited by Ketchup'n'Mustard; 04-06-2012 at 19:30. -
Re: The Revenge thread
i watched the first episode in the uk last week, and then proceeded to watch the whole first series online because i loved it so much
it is such a good show and i can see it replacing my current favourite tv show (lost)
Revenge is one of the few high quality tv series to come from the US amid the sea of mediocre shows that seem to be all over our tv's -
Re: The Revenge threadI watched the second episode yesterday, I'm following it on tv too(Original post by Becca94)
Just watched the first episode (on tv) i was gonna follow it UK time... but it was so good i might just watch the rest online

Did consider watching it online but then I liked having to wait a week to find out who she's after next (how sad do I sound? haha
)
I actually didn't think it would be all that, to be honest; when I first saw adverts of a new series starting, I thought I might as well just see what it was about - I'm definitely glad I did!
I think it's quite good and I really like how it draws you in. -
Re: The Revenge threadThis. It gets more unreal by the episode.(Original post by Dirac Delta Function)
Had potential, unfortunately, it's very unsophisticated...almost soap-opera. -
Re: The Revenge threadyeh it's a pity, because the underlying theme has potential. Didn't bother watching past episode 2.(Original post by Florrick)
This. It gets more unreal by the episode. -
Re: The Revenge thread
Forget the realism, *all Tv shows have clichéd aspects at one point or another. To what extent one watches the material depends on how well the plot is conveyed and captures you. (imo)
I must admit, initially I wasn't convinced. It was too out there/some plots(ideas) having been overused- but It did have hints of reality to it - retribution, surreptitious affairs, and moral depravity, blah, blah, blah... Which I must admit drew me in. I'm a sucker for tails of anguish on Tv- that inevitably ends in justice being served to those causing the pain.
I find Revenge very satiating. The way the plot can make you feel like a character is progressing morally, and then said character disturbingly returns to their immoral ways. I love that- not knowing how to feel about a character, my views changing all the time... It keeps it exciting, fresh.
Bravo I say. You should totally watch the rest of the series. It gets good at the end.
Anyway, what I'm saying is... Revenge in my opinion is awesome.
