All the highly competitive ones at Universities, hence why they are so popular.

Medicine, Law, Dental Surgery, Nursing, Pharmacy, Engineering etc.

Get a good degree from a decent University in one of these subjects (or a similar one) and you will never have to worry about finding a job, or money.

    Good luck.

Maths. It's a very versatile degree in terms of what you can do afterwards.

The complete list of average starting salaries can be found here:

    http://www.thecompleteuniversityguid...raduates-earn/

    Here are the Top five:

    Dentistry - £30,293
    Medicine -£29,132
    Chemical Engineering -£27,195
    General Engineering - £26,542
    Economics - £25,722

Of course, this list only has starting salaries, and says nothing about salaries over the span of a career, but it's better than saying degree X based on nothing.

Apart from Medicine, I'm guessing something Maths or Engineering related.

Law can be a good all-round degree as well.

My Dad employs like 5-6 people in programming who don't have degrees in computer science and some who work part time for 30+ pounds an hour.
He told me it was hard to find people with an aptitude for logic & computing.
