    Dutch Students in Nottingham
    Hello,

I was just wondering if there are many Dutch students in Nottingham? University of Nottingham or Nottingham Trent?

I haven't seen any around and I am just curious as to if there are many around or not, since I am trying to learn the language?

I'm going to study at the University of Nottingham in September, the Autumn semester I'm not sure if there are a lot of other Dutch students though. I think it's very admirable that you're trying to learn Dutch! It's probably one of the hardest languages in the world haha, especially grammar wise

I studied German with Dutch at University of Sheffield and seem to remember from a few conferences we had that University of Nottingham also offers modules on Dutch (within Germanic Studies). So I'd imagine there must be at least a few learners of Dutch who can speak the language. And you might be able to pick a module in it with free credits I guess?

En EllenSch: ik vind Nederlands eigenlijk niet zo heel erg moeilijk! Maar ik heb de taal ook 4 jaar lang in Engeland geleerd en heb ook in Utrecht, Maastricht (en nu!) Nijmegen gewoond. Is trouwens een heel mooie taal!

    Thanks for the info then!

I go to Nottingham Trent and they do Dutch courses also, but I'm about to graduate so won't be able to do those now

I'll be going to the Netherlands for a while soon, so hopefully will learn a bit while I'm there. I've been practicing with audio and don't find it too hard

Hope you like Nottingham and have a nice time here, EllenSch!
