    Farming Experience - Scotland
I'm having some difficulties with finding farming work experience.
Tried to find some farms by google and google maps but with no luck

Do you know any farmers around Scotland who take people for work experience?
I'm especially interested in Lambing and Diary

    Thanks in advance.

Yellow pages online search is a good place to look. If you call a farm and they don't own the animal you're looking for, ask if they know a neighbour or friend who does.

A friend did a dairy placement with I think a Mackey's dairy farm (the ice cream).

Another lambed with a family up in the highlands I believe.

I can ask if they'd be willing to send their info along.

    I found yell.com useful.

Also, is there any particular reason it has to be in Scotland? I ask because some places will provide accommodation if you ask, and you might have more options if you looked farther afield.

Could also try contacting the different vet schools, though I think normally vet students take up their work experience time.

    Good luck!
