    Skipping an exam?
So I have a compulsory Citizenship exam tomorrow.
It's an extra subject and I don't need it for anything tbh (I did make a thread about it).

It is highly unlikely that i'll get an A tomorrow. I wont exactly fail the subject, but AAAA looks better than AAAAc/b.

I'm considering skipping the exam altogether. The teachers will come after me, and I think i'll have to pay for my entry, but other than that (and an X on my results sheet) I can't think how else it might affect me.

If anyone has a good reason why this might be a really bad idea (i.e. if the universities don't like it- I want to do medicine), or whether a C is preferable over an X, I would really like to know.

EDIT: I also wont have a legit excuse (if the universities bring it up). I don't plan on faking illness/family situation, and I intend to tell the school that I read the timetable incorrectly.

Just take it. If you did, would you even have to put it down on the application? (I didn't put my general studies grade down at all on mine.)

I think I have to declare all of my subjects- one of my teachers used that as an incentive for us to take Citizenship seriously :P

Well medical schools always state that they don't consider general studies and critical thinking for offers (and I'm assuming citizenship would fall in that category) so they probably wouldn't take any notice of it.

Put it this way, when people see you skipped an exam it aint gonna look good. Surely it's worth the hour and a half - two hours.

You don't have to declare it if you get a U.

Skipped a General Studies exam. Got a slap on the wrist from my tutor and that was the end of that.
