Hey guys, just wondering what age your acne stopped? I'm 17 and have had it since 14, when will it stop?!

My case was different, at age of 18 acne starts flooding my face even at the back up until now. I dunno if it’s in genes but it’s so irritating.

You can stop it anytime by going to the doctor and asking for acne pills.

Edit: Why the neg?! People on this thread clearly hate having acne, so why not do something about it by going to a GP?! Most people don't know you can get pills for acne so here's the advice....go see a doctor!!!

Well OP mine came heavy around 14, and everyone thought something was wrong with my face But about a year and a half later, it cleared up. I think I was using some sort of acne cream or something. But I guarantee you it will stop soon

Mine started at 17, and it's only just getting better now I'm 20. I still get the occasional spot, but no major break-outs like I used to.

I still get the occasional spot (23 now) as most people do, but any proper acne stopped around 17 for me.

I had acne when I was 13 and my mum helped me reduce it using TT oil and by the time i was 15 my face was so clear. Now im 19 and I only get the odd spot...=)

I was weird, I was acne-free for most of school, then when I was 17 I got a really bad outbreak from out of nowhere. I mean my forehead looked like Freddy Krueger's arse.

Luckily with some help from my GP, it cleared up in a few months and I've never had a relapse. Guess it just varies with people.

Depends. Most people have a *trigger* which will set it off.

Mine started when I started working in a place where I was exposed to a lot of heat and oil. As soon as I stopped working there, it cleared up over the following months and now I only get the odd spot or two nowadays.

Having a look at your diet is a good place to start.

started at 11 all over my face and now I'm 17 and its gone, but thats because I went on roaccutane definitely worth it. Havent had a single spot since, even with this heat!
I'd recommend roaccutane if you'd had acne for 3+ years to prevent scarring, but it has to be bad (not afew spots here and there)

I'm 18 and I've bad skin to varying degrees since I was 12. It's still there now, but under more control thanks to the pill...
But my uncle still has to take medication for it at he is 40-something, I'm just praying mine doesn't carry on like that!!

I'm 20 and I still got the odd few spots under my chin, but I'd say I stopped having major outbreaks when I was 18ish.

My acne started at the age of 15/16. I'm now about to turn 18 (less than a month), but recently started using a cream called "Freederm gel" and at current time of writing, I have 0 spots. (Will get the usual spot at an awkward place where I might have missed putting the cream on)

I do still have a few spots on my back/shoulders as I haven't bothered using any cream on there. But yes, Freederm is actually a wonder cream! Get it! Get it nowwww :P

Mine started at 10, I'm 20 now and still have it . At the moment though it's not as bad as it was years ago, maybe just mainly due to me drinking more water and looking after my skin better. And I just wear foundation everyday so it doesn't show much to the outside world anyway
