It's normal to be like this, but that's part of doing well - you have to force yourself through the low times. If your exam is tomorrow I'd go to sleep (unless you literally don't know the stuff yet - it's a balance), but in general you just have to do it. Water helps significantly, but chocolate is a distraction.

    Good luck tomorrow

I'm the same, I have my final big uni exam on Tuesday and if I don't start seriously cramming now I'm f****d. But yet here I am procrastinating :/ I guess the only way is to force yourself, and think of how you'll feel when it's all over.

I always found it best for me if I got a couple of really good nights sleep the nights just before my exam day. There are many distractions, but as you say, just force yourself and think of the end and the results.

Just what are you studying at uni? I had my final exam last Thurs, phewww!!! xx

I'm studying Biochemistry, most of my exam periods have had 6 big exams with only a day or so in between making cramming inevitable. This time I have only had three, luxury! I have another exam after Tuesday but it requires a lot less work I definitely agree about sleep, I got a decent sleep before the exam I had the other day which made a massive difference, though I have developed a terrible work ethic and sleeping habits this last while.

I bet you are relieved to be finished! I will be over the moon when I finally have an exam-free life

Wow, that was a lot of cramming needed! I was lucky, I had at least 2 or 3 days inbetween exams so wasn't that bad for me. Your subject is far more academic than mine though, I study Media Production and it has a lot of hands on course work involved, although saying that we have had some very iffy exams this year!

I am soooo happy and relieved to be finished, I could of ran naked through uni I was that relieved...hmmm still may do that, lol :-)

Hope you feel the relief soon :-) xxx

I know it's harsh, but let's face fact that within today's society if you do not study you will not get anywhere; thus you will be stuck working on a dustbin lorry.

    Re: no motivation to study
Everyone deals with this in different ways. The two methods I have found that work for me are setting goals and competing with people. Decide what is important to you and work towards that (at A level that was A*A*A* and at university that's a first - I'm a perfectionist so picking the highest possible may nto be a good option for everyone). What helps me most though is competing with people. At the moment I am competing with my best friend (different course at a different university) for overall grade and on individual modules I compete with my closest friend on my course.
