    Re: Females with hairy arms
Unless the hair on my arms was really dark, i wouldn't shave them, and even then, I would wax them, simply because shaving causes the hair to grow in thicker and more coarsely at first, meaning you get stubbly itchy arms. Not cool.

In society, gradually, we have evolved to have different tastes, just like fashion changes, so do social opinions of what is attractive, for example, in tudor times, if you were overweight it was a sign of weight and attractive, but now it's a sign of unattractiveness. The same with hair, we used to all have the same amount of body hair, bar chest and back hair on women. Gradually, during the 20's and 30's (for reasons i can't remember, i believe it was to market a razor for women to sell more at the razor company, go figure!) it became fashionable to shave your underarms, women seen without smooth armpits were unclean, unfashionable, and therefore, unattractive. Eventually this moved onto legs, and then now pubic hair, now as we can see it seems to be moving onto arms, but i think it's as far as it will go.

In porn both men and women are completely hairless, and lots of teenagers these days get their knowledge about attractiveness by judging themselves against these people (bad idea, btw!) as consequence, we are now trained to believe hairless is the only way, of course it's not, but it's everyone's choice, i get rid of my body hair because i just think it looks messy and silly and it gets in the way, not to mention, if i never shaved my legs, tan tights would be both painful to put on, and look ridiculous with hair all squashed up in them!

Thanks to porn being such a huge part of where our generation, and many before us, have gotten our ideas of the perfect bodies from, men are now more likely to remove hair too (which doesn't bother me one bit, as back hair freaks me out a bit... and chest hair isn't as bad, unless it's like a forest on a torso, in which case, that's a big pile of nope for me.) but it is up to every individual what they prefer in themselves and in other people :') don't feel like you have to rid yourself of any hair if a)you don't want to b)you like it the way it is c)you feel dirty (pubic hair is actually there to keep our genitals cleaner! Keeps out possible germs!) or d)you feel less feminine for it.

If a guy who is dating you and wants to sleep with you refuses to do so because he doesn't like a part of your body that you are comfortable with, then he is not worth the time! The same goes for girls to guys! I may have my preferences, but if i loved someone enough to sleep with them, or i found someone attractive enough, i wouldn't ask them to change themselves for me! Do what makes you happy (:

(though if you want to shave your arms, i recommend a wax, a lot less stubbly and weird growing back, though honestly, you're probably fine, most people don't care about it anyway, but if you want to do it for you, go for it!)

Sorry about the length of the post XD i guess i got carried away again (:

I dislike hair on women's arms, then again I'm only really into fair, blonde/red-haired women and they tend to have very little body hair. Whatever floats your boat, but with the exception of the pubic area female bodyhair is a definite turn-off for me.

i shaved mine a while ago cause i thought they were really hairy, but after a bit i gave up- my friends had no idea why i thought they were bad, it was a lot of effort and i think it was just a bit.. weird! like, 'i'm shaving my bloody arms!' :P
don't bother with it. concentrate on more fun things.

i dont see why people equate "hairless" to clean...I wash my fairly hairy arms as much as the rest of me, and it's not like i have loads of sweat glands lining my arms, like my armpits.

Neither I or any of my friends shave our arms, that is the stupidest thing I've ever heard! Do people seriously do that?!
It's quite common, infact recommended amongst professional sports-people like cyclists, some boxers, even bodybuilders.

Would you think it's weird if a man (or woman) shaved his arms and legs, but for sporting reasons?

There's already too much de-fuzzing a lass has to do. Adding shaving arms to the list is just mental! If I had a boyfriend who told me my arms were too hairy and I should shave the hair off them I'd say he should go shave his back and ass first then.

I prefer hairless arms but it's not usually a problem and it's certainly not a deal breaker.

    :lolwut:

the only thing woman should shave is her legs and underarm, that's all IMO and maybe trim her private once every 40days or so

I can think of worse things for a lady to have ... unless they do closely resemble gorilla arms in which case a bit of a turn off but hey ho.
never understoof why people would shave their arms though, very odd!

I shave my arms approx once every fortnight. I do it because I like my arms smooth and the hair is fine but dark. It doesn't grow back prickly, the hairs soft.. Like fur all the hair removal does sound excessive but I know done girls who shave the back of their hands and toes :/ that's just crazy.

sorry if this... but come on are you serious???
tbh i think that i a girl watnt to take hair off her body is her own decision and that no man should affect her wanting to do it

Asian girls are the worst! Scientifically, Asians do have more body hair and girls can have forests of long, black hair growing on their arms. Very unattractive.

I would never shave my arms. Who wants prickly arms?!

Hair is natural. Why is it ugly/disgusting/dirty if a person has more hair than you?
I have dark hairs on my arms, and yeah, they're probably a little noticeable, but they're not 'thick'. You can't even feel them.
If my boyfriend told me to shave my arms, I'd tell him to go do one. It's my body, and it's clean, so yeah.

An intresting topic that i want to get opinions on,

For me, i love hairy arms on women but why are so many repulsed by hairy arms??
i can understand by legs armpits e.t.c, but why arms??

Would Women ever stop shaving their arms??
    What are peoples opinions?
Well it looks much better, clean and presentable if the arms are shaved and most of the guys dont like hairy arms or women

This is one argument that I will understand. Most men have hairy arms -and the hair in generally longer/curlier than women's. I understand that not all men are like this - but a lot are.
Would you expect him to shave his arms, or if you're the guy, would you think you should shave your arms?

How come arm hair on women isn't 'clean', when on men it is? If you were asked to shave your arms because your girlfriend didn't like it, would you? (aimed at everyone in general)

I prefer hairless arms and legs on women. If men are expected to shave their chests then it's only fair that women make some effort as well.
