Anyone who's been to Spain on holiday...
My friends and I have planned to go to Spain for a week in August. We have already paid for flights and accommodation. How much would you recommend taking per day per person for things like food and day trips?
    Thankyouuu

It depends on what part of Spain you are going to. For the more popular resort areas and cities, food is quite expensive. For a week, I would say between 150 euros and 200. If your hotel is half board/all inclusive, you can get away with taking less.

Thank you so much we are staying in a villa, so we don't have all inclusive options :P

I went last year with my husband and 3 kids. We did half board for 10 days, and we got through £500 altogether.

This year we're doing self-catering, and we'll probably take about £1,000 thereabouts altogether.

So, divided by 5, I'd say you probably wanna take at least £200 worth of euros for one person for 10 days. As you're only going for a week, I'd say about £150 or so....

so basically seventyfourable is probably pretty much spot on there saying 150-200 euros.

I went to Spain for a week two years ago, paid about €500 for flights and accommodation and had about €500 spending money for the week. We had all inclusive so we didn't need to worry about meals. €500 was plenty! Came back with about €100 or so also.

Depends on how many day trips you're planning and food wise, if you all chip in and do a shop at the start of the week and get a couple days worth of dinners and lunches (Because chances are you will/will want to eat out a few times too). Look up the theme parks and attractions in the area you're going that you think you may visit and you should be able to find the prices online. It would be easier knowing how much that will cost and then bringing more with you. I'd say €50 - €100 a day would be MORE than enough!

People saying 150-200 euros what do you eat and stuff?:O and don't you buy anything whilst you're there for memories and things? I went to france with my bf last summer and we spent 1000 euros between us over a week and we weren't buying anything ridiculous, just food and a few presents and day trips.

Once again, it really depends on where you're going in Spain.

While Barcelona is more expensive, you can get a tapa and a beer for about 1€ in other cities. The price range is immense, depending on where you're staying.

Spain is one of those countries where you definitely need to mention the city you're staying at, when talking about prices.

We didn't do any day trips. Day trips cost the earth.

Malaga is my second favourite city in Spain after Barcelona. Criminally underrated.

Where about are you staying near Malaga?

I used to live about 30 minutes away from the city, it depends where you're going to be staying and visiting.
For one, public transport is ridiculously overpriced and more tourist-y places such as Nerja/Torre del Mar are expensive. Malaga old town isn't too expensive food/drink wise but again, the places aimed at tourists can be quite pricey.
