Depends on the boxers. Boxer-briefs under shorts I find to work as they're tighter than regular boxers and hold everything together. I did go to the gym once with regular boxers on under football shorts and to my horror, realised that in profile view things were sticking out a bit too much.

I just generally hate briefs and haven't worn them since a child. However, I have mates who swear by them so I suppose it's what you're used to.

Oh, I thought the tops ones were classed as briefs because they don't have buttons like traditional boxers do.

In that case, I always wear the boxer-briefs, I didn't think anybody between the age of 12 and 45 would wear normal briefs.

Never had any issue with me ballsack getting too sweaty in them.
All you guys who say you wouldn't be seen dead in briefs should really give them a go. You'd be amazed at the level of comfort.

And by the way, briefs are in no way only worn by children and gays. Working in clothing retail, i know how many guys choose to buy briefs.

Stopped wearing boxers years ago as (contrary to popular opinion) I waas getting sticky 'Betty Swallocks' in the heat wearing them.
