Thought to start this thread to help everyone ask questions and prepare for the exam which is on the 12th June 2012. Good luck

I've done the Jan 2012 paper as a mock and wasn't too bad

First time doing this exam, did F585 The global economy in January

About 85% ready for this atm, the rest is dependent on the exam papers I get done from now till then. Planning on doing them all, not all the essays though- can't stand MRP for 20markers haha.

Good luck. This is a retake for me (got a high C last time), hoping to get an A this time.

Hi, sorry for sounding stupid, but Is this an A2 economics module following on from Markets in action and National/International economy As modules? Just cos Ive just finished my As's so am wondering what the content is for A2

Yeah this is an A2 Module, for my School this is the final A2 Exam in June while the January A2 exam is F585 The global economy.

The Work and Leisure exam isn't too bad, rather interesting

Im retaking too! Hope to get "A".. my teacher thinks short answer questions will be on market structure.. :|

They've done that quite a bit though, although not specifically oligopoly so i've been doing that in extra detail. I don't mind market structures for short answer questions to be honest. I just really hope we get questions that require knowledge of the theory more this time! the Jan was more around the extract and stuff.

3, which wasn't the best idea since I didn't actually look into any leisure industries, blagged my way through spectator sports.

awh lool.. i did the first one about two types of bargaining, and i only knew one type :| I looked at part B which was on backwards bending supply curve and i could fully do that, so picked that.. :')

Make sure you know exactly what the terms mean in the essay you choose. OCR are quite picky with what they want.

The question I did in January was along the lines of: Explain two different forms of bargaining.

I discussed trade unions and monopsony, thinking these were two different forms, but they were looking for collective, performance-pay, etc. As a result, I was limited to 9/15 in my answer.

That's the question I did, I only did one method of bargaining so pretty much limited my marks

Anybody know what the 3 questions were at the end of the jan 2012 paper? I vaguely remember pensions and something to do with the ageing population.
