    I did the same, I mentioned it lowered wage inflation. Talked about how they add to the GDP. They may do menial jobs. JObs like childcare and cheap childcare can allow both parents to work which will further increase the GDP.
    Talked about social tension. Stress on the benefits scheme. Effect on BoP as they may send some of their income back to their country. Said they might illegally work below NMW or work at NMW -this will threaten the jobs of local workers.

    Also said that british workers might move to other countries since the income tax is very high in the UK. This may lead to shortage of labour in the UK.
    I thought you were supposed to avoid things like GDP as then one deviates from labour markets and goes onto macro which isn't credited. i could be wrong

    But i just want to know if the EU directive is about the freedom of movement of workers in the EU. If it is then i'm good.
    EU directives are instructions to member countries to reach particular outcomes. I havent come across a Free Movement Directive, so no i dont think so... The most common ones are the 48 hour working time directive, the parental leave directive and the anti-ageism directive...

    I made a really stupid mistake. At the end of the paper i started answering question 4 but ran out of ideas and crossed it out, terrible technique i know. I then started and finished question 2 but did not change the question number at start of the page! It should be quite clear from my introduction what question i was doing, what do you think a marker will do? Just be sensible and realise my mistake or do what examiners tend to do and punish students for small mistakes? Thanks in advance.

    Not panicking for migration anymore as people are telling me it would be fine, even it was not right I can't do anything to change it, and really should move on and do revision for module 5
    Good luck for module 5 everyone!

    Thought i'd better reply seeing as it's the 2nd time you've posted about this, i really wouldn't worry about it too much, at the end of the day as long as you answered Q2 well, you can access the higher marks. I definitely think the examiner will understand your doing Q2 and not Q4, they are teacher's after all(although sometimes i question their sanity.)
    In short though, you'll be alright. All the best to you

    I realised the first question meant firms not channels so I put BBC = 28.something
    ITV = whatever the channels made
    Other = everything else
    For some reason I thought they wanted the values that would be in a pie chart split three ways... haha

    Bit off topic... but I got 78 UMS in unit 1, 80 in unit 2, how many UMS marks do I need at A2 to get a B or C overall at A2?
