    retake sat global in jan and got B so need to retake this to get atleast C for a B overall

    i did work and leisure in jan and got U so retaking it to get atleast a C because i got B's in all my other units. make sense? haha

    im sure you will get B in global just revise hard and use tutor 2 u

    urm could be better, you know the predictions about wage differentials etc were they your own predictions or a teachers?

    Trade Unions, national minimum wage or immigration... :daydreaming:

    anyone else reckon section A will be on leisure markets?

    teachers.. wel my teacher.
    he said that it hasnt come up.. in depth ( it has once i think ) but its time for it now,

    revisions OK... feels like i havent learnt anything YET!.. quiet hard! =(

    TBH im not sure im just hoping inequality, dont mind wage differentials need to look over gov intervention! Im just hoping some good 15 and 20 mark!

    not really... but there's no harm in trying i guess! i need 3 A's to get into the uni of my choice so the pressure's on!
    i'm really happy with a B but its just not good enough for my uni

    oh i see and yeah i know how you feel this exam actuallly is fairly simple it just seems hard! and i tend to forget things in the exam im just hoping to pick up some easy marks

    just looked at some jan 12 question.. section A implied wage differentials.. so dont know.. GOSH!

    monopolies hasnt come up for a while... so yee.. see how it goes...

    Ye.. it was implied it was somehting like State and explain two possible causes of the changes in the pay gap between men ref to data...


    noo cheating.... =P!

    well, the benefits and costs and why people immigrate i guess
    benefits are things like:
    expansion of the labour force
    increase in diversity
    immigrants can provide complementary skills (a female doctor can return to work after having a baby if alot of foreign childminders come over for example)
    immigrants can fill vacancies that domestic workers don't want (menial jobs like cleaners etc)
    can use their income to contribute to spending in the economy

    costs:
    can depress the wages of domestic workers
    put a strain on scarce resources such as Housing and Healthcare
    If immigrants are coming here just to go to university, then returning to their home country then they are using our resources without giving back to our economy
    if immigrants send their wages back to family, this won't benefit consumer spending (this is called remittance)

    there's more, but i'm kind of in 'French Revision Mode' atm so my mind is a bit all over the place
