Re: OCR Economics of Work and Leisure F583 June 2012
Does anyone have an essay or plan on EU Directives and Immigration (impact on labour markets and economy) ?
These questions seem the same but as separate things on the spec..
Evaluate the implications of different market structures for resource allocation.
Discuss the relationship between efficiency and market structures.
Isn't resource allocation and efficiency similar so both will have the same answers, in terms of their price and output? -
Re: OCR Economics of Work and Leisure F583 June 2012Also if you wouldn't mind explaining what diagrams are there for Inequality. I know the Lorenz curve but how would you use this for analysis?(Original post by -Illmatic-)
I'll do this tonight for you! (if i get time...) -

Re: OCR Economics of Work and Leisure F583 June 2012wage differentials are caused due to each worker being unique like having different MRP levels and different skills, also vary due to discrimination. Another reason is that firms tend to equalise net benefits rather that wages therefore may offer unpleasant jobs higher wages known as conpensating differential. Also, labour is not perfectly mobile involves occupational and geographical immobility, May also be due to lack of competition on the demand side due to monopsonist or lack of competition on supply side due to Trade unions(Original post by Lalaa)
