I'm really pale and people tell me I need to get a tan? Opinions on paleness?

If your not happy with your body why not try getting a tan (its quite hot outside), I went on a sunbed once for a few mins and got a tan. Its not a big deal but in my opinion guys look better with a tan otherwise if they are milk bottle pale they look ill lol

First of all, you must be satisfied how you look, then you can think on people's opinions.

It is not important whether you are pale or not. The more important is whether your tan is complementary to your hair color and to your fashion style.

Don't get nervous if people tell you how pale you are. All people are different, they have different preferences. Some girls like the pale ones, some don't.

If I knew how you look like, I would truly tell you if your tan is problematic (in terms of aesthetics). However, if you try to change it, you might provoke some health problems.

Hey;

I am a white guy who can tan A LITTLE, then again, my father is Greek (dad can spend hours in sun without burning, and tans easily) and my mother is English (can't spend an hour in the sun without burning). Both have dark hair (my dad has black and my mother has dark brown).

So, I have come out white - burn within an hour of staying in the sun (as evident within the last few days) and have deepest brunette hair. (Green eyes as well).

I PERSONALLY prefer pale skin in a partner, don't know why, just a trait I find attractive, although, tanned is good as well. It is not as though I find tanned people unattractive, just prefer paler people, it is like asking why people prefer brown hair over blond.

It won't be unattractive when unlike your tanned counterparts in 40 years you don't look like you've melted!
