Re: Hazard to Chelsea - Confirmed. To be fair, the way he's acted and the giant media storm he's created over his transfer, I'm not sure he would have suited Manchester United, nor Ferguson's management style.(Original post by Chicharito14)
I'll be honest, i'm disappointed he has chosen Chelsea over United.
But if Fergie gets Kagawa, Strootman, and some additional players (Clyne, Powell), i'll be more than happy. -
Re: Hazard to Chelsea - Confirmed.
Anyway as for the Hazard signing, I'm excited but don't think he justifies a £32m price tag. Not good bargaining on our part, but with so much hype and competition it was never going to come cheap.
As for positions, I'm sure he'll get his way with the manager and be played down the middle thus disrupting the Mata-Torres partnership. But with his pace I'm sure he would be as effective on the wing. Looking forward to pre-season to see how he fits into the system.Last edited by Mastermind`; 28-05-2012 at 23:39. -

That is the thing with fans and players, one minute they love them, the next, they hate them.
The fact that he took so long to make his mind up, along with all his demands, i could see Fergie and Hazard falling out.
Still, i would've loved to have him at United.
I'm hoping this is a blessing in disguise, and Kawaga (if we get him) proves to be the player that we have been missing all these years. -

That's not what I meant. I was referring to the past incidents (i.e. Chelsea Barca thread) where several people responded to your post (that served no purpose for discussion, but wholly to antagonise) yet when quoted you couldn't even comeback.
In short, you need to grow up a bit my son. -
Re: Hazard to Chelsea - Confirmed.Ohhhhhh yes, remember the whole Sneijder saga? It reminded me far too much of that, and I never saw him coming.(Original post by Chicharito14)

You're right, it is a kick in the nuts as we can't seem to land a big names these days (Not that we're desperate, still managed to contend the PL till the final day and only lose on Goal difference) But I just feel we need a bit of creativity and flair that the team seems to have lost since, dare I say it, Ronaldo left. Nani and Valencia are by no means bad, but I really wanted something different, I always find the way they play quite regimented, if you know what I mean. -
Re: Hazard to Chelsea - Confirmed.
all i see is hating, why cant people just be like "good for him, hope he does well". when i saw podolski sign for arsenal i didnt think "what an ass, he coulda gone any other team and be a legend but he signed for arsenal" kinda crap i see from every other person that doesnt support chelsea. he made up his mind, be happy.

Re: Hazard to Chelsea - Confirmed.Well, since when was the Portugese league good?(Original post by eddingley)
Since when was the French league good? Yh this guys good but not hard to shine in the French league
Produced C. Ronaldo.
Yes, then moved to the Prem young, but that's what Hazard is doing, and I hope it pays off for him. -
Re: Hazard to Chelsea - Confirmed. Its the way he's gone about the transfer, saying Arsenal was his dream club, going on to say he'll be in Manchester, saying he'll be wearing blue and then bringing Chelsea into the equation after they won the CL. He's been a media whore.(Original post by Tweed)

I'm glad he's going to be in the PL next season, he's a quality player and i'm looking forward to watching him. The problem is he's already built up a public persona and because of it people will be expecting the best, and ultimately it could be fatal, but we'll have to see. -
Re: Hazard to Chelsea - Confirmed.I agree, Didier Drogba was signed from Marseille. Hazard is young and he can develop into a top player. He certainly has many years to adapt to the league. However, even I admit his ego is a bit large for someone who is successful at the French league.(Original post by Alpharius)

Re: Hazard to Chelsea - Confirmed.Yeah but at Arsenal you can actually see him maturing and improving without getting an over inflated ego at the same time. Players at Arsenal seem a lot more humble in my opinion, I may be wrong though. Look at the players at Chelsea, they didn't even try to play well and try make it work to ensure AVB was fired, that's disgraceful and in my books it's worse than Tevez.(Original post by Tweed)

Re: Hazard to Chelsea - Confirmed.
I never thought that lad was coming to United. We've mainly been looking at Kagawa, and with his professional attitude, I'm glad he didn't.
Although he's gonna be a massive player for Chelsea, or so it looks like. If he can handle the pressure.
But Kagawa, if he comes to United could also make a massive impact. We just need to offer a higher bid.
Shinji Kagawa: 198 apps, 86 goals and 45 assists. Better record than Hazards but he's cheaper

Re: Hazard to Chelsea - Confirmed.
Had to lock this for a while as I was cleaning it up. By all means feel free to discuss Hazard and his transfer but don't engage in tit-for-tat arguments which lead nowhere. If you can't stand someone or their views just don't reply to them or put them on ignore. It's a pretty simple concept to grasp and makes your time on this forum a pleasant one.

Re: Hazard to Chelsea - Confirmed.I agree that he has an ego, but so do 99% of all the most entertaining/talented players.(Original post by jqian)

Hazard is similar to the current C. Ronaldo (though not yet as good, obviously), which is why I chose him as my example. Plays on the left, right-footed, very skillful, great shot on him, can beat most defenders, strong, fast... and has an ego. If anything, he's less flamboyant, more end product.
A fantastic prospect. I'm no fan of Chelsea, but I hope he does well. I can see him in Real Madrid by 26 if he does reach his potential. -
Re: Hazard to Chelsea - Confirmed.
Hazard has made a wrong decision when you think about it logically. He said what would judge the club he would sign for would depend on playing time. So what do you do? Go to Chelsea where they already have Mata and I'm guessing, will shove him to the left and play Hazard behind Torres. No guarantee of first team football in his favoured position. Like Nasri last summer, he failed to realise that there is a position begging to be taken at OT. I've got a feeling the lure of London, living in Surrey, and oh yeah, that tripe about joining the CL winners is what got the job done for him. He would have accomplished his goals with us in terms of developing as a player. Money and location talks I'm guessing for him.
