Which degree leads to the worst career prospects?

Which degree leads to the worst career prospects?In contrast to the best career prospects thread (http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/show....php?t=2014090), it may be less clear-cut which degree produces the worst career prospects as opposed to the best.
So, any guesses? -

Studying American history when U live in Scotland. That's one of the stupidest things I've heard someone do with their life.
The latter two are fine. I mean if you want a pyscology related job then psycology is in there, however it has better prospects than quite a few others.(Original post by imabigboynow)
media, pyscology, sports, lesuire and tourism.
Sports related are also fine, there is PE teaching, sports training and a range of other jobs such as physiotherapy with further training.
No idea about lesuire and tourism, but I doubt it would be too hard to get a job with those given that the people that study them are most likely willing to travel anywhere in the world.
Granted these jobs will not be this highest paid, but they aren't bad in terms of getting jobs. That is what this thread is aboutLast edited by bestofyou; 29-05-2012 at 16:17. -

I would say an irrelevant degree is the worst. So say you take Physics and then decide you want to be in media, you've made a bad choice. If you take Media but then decide you want to be a banker, you're also screwed.
So ultimately it depends what job you want, some people do Psychology/Media (subjects that take a lot of bashing) and end up in their dream job, that job may be looked down upon by those who think bankers and doctors are the be all and end all, but who cares, it's your life and the majority of people don't want to be what other people deem successful. Re: Which degree leads to the worst career prospects?oh nothing but its very hard to get a job in the empire or the council with just a star wars degree, you may need a doctrate to get anywhere near the jedi council. Just speaking from personal experience(Original post by murpo)

Re: Which degree leads to the worst career prospects?Whichever one I'm not doing obviously. If I'm doing science then obviously any arts subject, if I'm doing english or philosophy then at least it's not art history, if I'm doing art history at least I'm not doing art history at London Met.
