sleep problem. hearing voices etc. please read and advise
so for as long as i can remember- ever since a kid, ive always had bad sleep. i.e. not feeling fully rested, cant go to bed/get up at normal times, restless nights etc.

sometimes i have dreams where im fully aware im dreaming, and i will tell myself not to be scared (i.e. if its a nightmare). i tell myself not to worry.

i can also get high sexual pleasure in my dreams.

anyway, recently, at least twice this past week, i have just been drifting off to sleep when suddenley i hear my own voice out loud- even when i havent said anything. Perhaps an auditory hallucination?

Other times i wake myself up sleepmumbling..

and 1 really strange thing, which i want you guys to read and advise is this:-

Earlier, I was in my lounge, lying on the sofa, when i started drifting in and out of sleep (i was telling myself not to sleep because i was meant to be revising). I was dreaming that I was stuck on the sofa, and i couldnt move, and then i would 'wake up' except i was still asleep, and i would move positions, and then i would 'actually wake up' except again i was still asleep and i was wondering why id moved positions but was still in the same position. So a dream within a dream within a dream?? I was still dreaming when in my dream my friend came in and 'woke me up' and i was like 'oh i must have drifted off' except i was still dreaming and not awake. Then in my dream i started getting horny, but i knew it was a dream, so in the dream about a dream i started masturbating (because i knew that i get sexual pleasure from dreams) but in reality i was again dreaming about being in a dream. After about 2 hours of this drifting i finally woke up for real, and just thought what the ****!!!

The exact same thing happened to me about a month ago and it only ever happens when im in this lounge. The lounge generally gives me a very creepy feeling. I dont really know what this is, but i get scared to go to sleep because i will dream about being paralysed, but it cant be sleep paralysis because im not actually awake trying to move, its like im dreaming about being awake and having sleep paralysis but not actually having it.

sorry if thi i really confusing, but i hope someone can make some sort of sense out of it

Lucid dreaming is more likely to happen as you are falling asleep or waking up

These are all common problems, and I don't think you should worry too much about them. You've been stressed lately because of your revision, which I'm sure hasn't helped. You might find this link on 'sleep hygiene' helpful:http://familymedicine.tufts.edu/pdf/Sleep-Hygiene.pdf

I've done this several times. It's infuriating.

Bit of a mix of lucid dreaming and sleep paralysis, I've experienced the latter several times. I'd advise you to make the most of whatever dream you are aware you are dreaming; make the dream yours.
As for sleep paralysis, I'm not sure whether there are any remedies or not, I'd go to your GP if they are bothering you that much. What I usually do when I open my eyes (or at least think I have) and get that overwhelming fear and dread is just to close my eyes again and it seems to disappear.

    I get what you mean.

I get this (sometimes) when I wake up and get ready to leave and go to school.

Except now, I realise I was dreaming and have to get up for real which is annoying, because I ate breakfast and all -.-
