Re: How do you think you have done in your as/a level exams?Do you do OCR Maths?(Original post by translucent)
I'm looking forward to results day, I'm expecting 3 As, and I deserve it; I've worked my arse off - bio, chem, maths

Re: How do you think you have done in your as/a level exams?Nope, edexel. I'd imagine there isn't much of a difference between exam boards, in terms of difficulty?(Original post by As_Dust_Dances_)
Do you do OCR Maths? -
Re: How do you think you have done in your as/a level exams?
I'm hoping I've got good grades..
I don't particularly have high expectations but am hoping for
B in health and social care
C in sociology
C in psychology and
C in english
Not exactly high hopes but as long as I don't get U's again I will be happy -
Re: How do you think you have done in your as/a level exams? It terms of grade boundaries yes, unfortunately it's much harder to get an A with OCR as they are usually quite high. I personally believe everyone should do the same exam board tbh :/ I was just wondering in case you did the S1 exam which was pretty difficult even for most people on here too, but OCR are so stupid they will probably make normal boundaries..(Original post by translucent)

Re: How do you think you have done in your as/a level exams?Probably BCCD(Original post by mashmammad)
SO WE HAVE DONE AN EXAM. I THOUGHT ITS GOOD TO TALK IN TERMS OF HOW WE HAVE DONE THAT EXAM. REGARDLESS OF WHAT HAPPENED, JUST SAY WHY DID IT HAPPENED. WHETHER YOU HAVE DONE GOOD OR BAD, HAPPY OR SAD, COME ON YEAAAH
... OH SORRY THAT WAS AN OLD SONG
. I'm glad that they were As exams though so as long as i do well enough to get in next year...

Re: How do you think you have done in your as/a level exams?
I have a feeling that I have done really bad in my As exams despite trying really hard to study over the course of this academic year. I feel a bit disappointed with myself because I panicked in most of my exams and didn't acheive my full potential.
I am secretly hoping that i have done better than I am expecting but it probably won't happen

Re: How do you think you have done in your as/a level exams?
Literally didn't come out of the study for months revising for my AS levels so best have done well lol! (As I am sure many others on here have done also!)
Being completely honest:
Maths: A (D1 may be a close A)
Chem: A
Bio: A (One module will be a low A)
Phys: A/B (Going to be close)
Critical thinking: A/B

Re: How do you think you have done in your as/a level exams?i would say this is a very bad system of marking and giving results out and to be honest examination. i truly believe we are not being examined on our knowledge or potential despite of exams being very easy. and the worst thing about it is that you have to wait for ages to get your results.(Original post by thediamonds)

Re: How do you think you have done in your as/a level exams? No, I do AQA computing but I really didn't put a lot of effort in this year

Really? It doesn't have a book? I just typed "OCR Computing" into Amazon and it came up with a quite a few books and revision guides for the A-Level.
But really, AQA and OCR computing are basically the same and you could have just used the AQA textbook to learn the topics you study for OCR, I found it really useful

Re: How do you think you have done in your as/a level exams?
I'm hoping for my summer exam results to be
General Studies - A/B, C2 - A, M1 - B, S1 - A/B, D1 - A, Chem1 (retake) - B, Chem 2 - C
So overall I'm hoping to come away with
General Studies - A
Maths - A
Further Maths - B/C (Retaking FP1 in Jan so expecting to improve on this next year)
Chemistry - B/C (Retaking coursework next year to boost the grade up a bit to a definite B hopefully) -
Re: How do you think you have done in your as/a level exams?there is a book that is suppose to be useful but i swear its not. every one doing the course knows that. if you want an example i can tell you that it covers half the specification in 11 pages. the author is called chris ledbetter. he was so angry about the changes that the publishers had made to the book that he gave up the original copy for free.(Original post by dying-divinity)

and about aqa, the specs are quite similar and i have an aqa revision guide. but the depth that you learn and the concept and the order in which you learn them is so different.
