    Guys: PROM, Are you going?
Going to prom.. not going to prom... Does it really matter whether you go or not?
Some people take it way too seriously and go all out with it by spending vast amounts of money on just one evening...

What do you guys and girls think?
LOL, I'm contemplating whether I should go or not

Had mine at the end of April, it was so much fun and the location was beautiful on the Quayside! Hadn't planned on going but decided to and don't regret it!

I didn't want to go to prom last year but my teachers and friends persuaded me to go. I ended up being PROM KING  I definitively suggest that every guy goes, it is a great experience

I think it's a great way to end school basically a big party. Plus a chance to wear a nice dress!

I've not spent that much on mine so far:

Prom ticket: £35 (Includes 3 course meal and glass of wine. Plus the hotel's gorgeous!)
Dress - £32 (it was on sale - I got lucky!)
Shoes - £30 ( I chose a pair that I would be able to use again, so an investment :P)
Clutch - not got one yet, I'll probably spend £15.
Hairdressers - probably about £20 , to be honest I need my hair cut anyway!
Need to also get extensions and some make up, that should be £30 at the most, and can be used again.

I'm really looking forward to it, because it's the last chance I will see many of my classmates that I'm not particularly close to.

At my year 11 prom i ended up spending more money then my date did . The prom was pretty good but the after party was amazing!
I've got my year 13 prom coming up and i've decided to go with my m8 (instead of a girl). We will be dressing up as Star Wars characters (Girls dig Star Wars). We will either be wearing our suits underneath or might take them with us . We still have to decide who is going to dress up as what.
I'm only going because it's going to be the last time i see my teachers and fellow students (Hopefully). I'd recommend that every1 goes to Prom!

Yea, i'll be going to an end of year party where we go on a boat out on the river.

Got a dress (been looking for ages- couldn't find any nice ones) but still need to get some shoes.

I was originally skeptical, but i think it's a nice way to end the 5 years tbh

Everyone goes to the formal around where I'm from, and everyone brings a date so it's all equal. I'm spending a normal amount on it. Anyway, I drew out my dress and this is it, although it's obviously going to be much neater in real life.

I don't understand the people who spend hundreds of pounds... sort of how I don't understand the people who blow £20,000 on their wedding day.
    Dress - £30
    Shoes - vintage
Hair is short so no fancy styles there.
Make-up - don't want to drown in it anyway.
So yeah, keeping it fashionably lowdown!

Are you kidding me? The school prom is one of the best events ever. I dunno, maybe yours isn't as good as mine. But I had a superb time. I'm not the type to go to parties or dance or anything but it was a really enjoyable event, everyone looked lovely and nobody had any arguments or anything, it's the one time where the whole year unites together to have fun!

You're really missing out if you don't go. (Yes I've already had mine)
