As we all know the Scotland will soon become independent nation. Most people in scotland want it, so why should the rest of the UK support these people? You hear people saying i'm proud to be bristish and yet want to be independent nation.

Will you be supporting scottish athletes?

We should be preparing for it as a possibility. Yes. But your assertions are by no means completely true.

The SNP will soon have the referendum won with such ridiculous ideas as that.

    *British

But Scotland is still a part of UK for now and thus I don't think we should remove support yet.

Yes,I will definitely be supporting Scottish Olympics athletes whether they achieve independence or not! GO SCOTLAND!

Like omg, you've won me over with your exquisitely crafted arguments. Innit?

If Scotland becomes independent then I imagine that English fans would treat them exactly the same way as they already do in Rugby, football etc. With a mutual sporting rivalry.

To be honest your suggestion sounds like vindictiveness. These athletes are still British and obviously each Scottish member of Team GB has quite knowingly chosen to represent the entirety of Great Britain. They are representing you and would like to count on your support.

No, Independence will probably not happen.

And who cares whether the rest of Britain decides to support Scottish athletes.

I've never supported them anyway. I don't really see the point in having Great Britain or the UK. Let us be England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

As an Englishman I think the OP is stupid to think that most voters in Scotland support independence. Also, I don't follow the Olympics anyway so I wouldn't be actively supporting anyone anyway.

No-one on earth knows that. Those who may think they do are dangerously deluded or do not know the meaning of the word 'know'.

Most people in scotland want it
    Entirely false.

You here people saying i'm proud to be bristish and yet want to be independent nation.
I've never heard that in my life. References? Citations?

This is a nonsense post. The Olympic games will be long over before Scotland even goes to the polls in this referendum. It also makes the assumption that most people in Scotland do want independence, which is by no means certain. That's something for the referendum to establish.

I don't understand your logic here. Take football as an example of how fans support a team, rather than a nationality of players in particular. Man United fans will support their team irrespective of which countries their players come from. Team GB will contain athletes from across the UK, so if you support GB then you'd be foolish not to support the Scottish athletes within it.

    Stupid topic.

    Wtf are you on about?
I'm Scottish, but I'm prouder to be British.

Most Scots I know don't feel so strongly about being British, but still support the Union.

This is racist as far as I'm concerned.
