    Newquay?
    Hi,
Having just finished my GCSEs me and my friends are looking for somewhere to go on holiday to, possibly during late July or August and was wondering is Newquay worth going to as I would have to travel a long way to get there (from Cheshire!). I was wondering if anyone could recommend anywhere else that is worth going? Or if anyone here is going Newquay this year.
    Thanks

Me and 13 of my mates (all 16) are all going down for a week in July. Staying in a surf lodge - should be sick!

Mind you don't get ****ered and decide to climb a cliff while you're there, okay? The locals hate that ****. Also the bobbies have got into a habit of taking alcohol off young people.

Ahhhh deffo go Newquay, its amazing!! Just be careful not to get caught with alcohol in your lodge or wherever you stay. Everyone has cracked down on underage drinking so hard down there. 8 of us are going for a week middle of July ))

I went to newquay with my friends last year because it was our first summer where we were all 18.

I highly recommend going and I also recommend where we stayed which was a campsite called 'smugglers'. It's really fun, totally laidback, the loos and showers are alright, there was an outdoor swimming pool, a costcutters and buses to and from town every 20 mins or so until 2am. After that you get a taxi and they're really cheap (like £2 a person if there's 5 or 6 of you).

Out of interest does anyone know exactly HOW tight the police are on alcohol? Will they stop and search you randomly, and if they find alcohol on you will they just take it off you or arrest you or what?

Oh yeah, they can't search my apartment right? Considering they'll need a search warrant.
