What are they symptoms of sickle-cell anaemia?
How many symptoms would you need to list for 2 marks?
Would pain & fever get the 2 marks - or would you need to include brain damage ETC?
Didn't even know brain damage was one of them, I would say you needed 2 out of these 4 main ones: Physical weakness, tiredness, pain, fever. I included all of them for good measure but you only need two so you got it right

I put tiredness/weakness, shortness of breath, pain and swelling of the joints but I don't know how many you'd need, I'm guessing it's two.
I also added that feeling faint is one?
    Is that alright?

Also what did people put for the cause of sickle-cell anaemia.

I put faulty alleles which codes the haemoglobin

I put a faulty recessive allele which mutates the haemoglobin in the red blood cells

Exam went well, i think, i needed extra paper for most of, although i thought we finished at half past so i was rushing towards then to find out i had 10 minutes left

I found the questions on the heart the hardest, just because i didnt revise them, but i think the Grade Boundaries will be lower this year, most of the questions required in depth answers on topics that are in the 'Higher' section.

    What do you guys think?
