    Samsung Galaxy S2 Price Drop
Hey guys, was looking into getting the S2 on contract and was wandering with the upcoming S3 when would be the ideal time for me to get the S2? When does the price usually start to decrease after the newer model has come out? Thanks

Even then, I've seen the SII on Amazon for £335, much cheaper than similar models like the Sensation XE.

Also, Tesco offer pretty decent SII deals online

There are some quite competitive contract deals out there, especially if you are happy to receive cashback by redemption (see details below).

If cashback is not your thing, for a standard contract (300 mins & unlimited texts & some data) you could look at getting for around £25 - £30 per month, or slightly less if you are happy to pay a little for the handset upfront.

    What is Cashback by redemption:

Mobile phone contracts with cash back by redemption offer you money back on your mobile contract at various points over its course. The specifics of how this works vary between retailers but there are usually a few common factors:

Redemption cash back is not automatic. You will usually be required to send certain bills to the relevant retailer to claim your cash back.
There are often time limits involved in claiming your cash back. For example, you may be required to send in certain documents like bills within 30 days of receiving them in order to claim.

You’ll usually be paid your cash back either in stages throughout your contract or in one lump sum at the end.
Because cash back by redemption deals require certain actions from customers and involve some strict time limits, you need to be organised to get the most out of them. However, if you check the terms and conditions of the deal on the retailer’s site before you sign up for the contract and make sure you keep up with all of your responsibilities; cash back by redemption can offer some of the best deals available.
