American universities and final A Level results
So, I've gotten into a uni in America. My 'counselor' (head of 6th form), submitted my 'final report' on the common app back in January, using my predicted grades. Since I haven't gotten an email saying otherwise, I'm assuming that's ok. I don;t think my A Level grades will have much of an impact on my admittance anyway.
But do they need to be informed of my final results? My university doesn't seem to be very co-operative, so what is usually the case? It's a bit difficult because the results come out 2 days into my orientation. If anyone who has experience in this situation could advise me, it would be appreciated? -

It is essential, it might say in their acceptance letter or email that your offer is contingent on "maintaining academic performance." They will want your final grades and if they're (by their standards) much lower than your predicted grades then they may rescind the acceptance.

Re: American universities and final A Level results
As mentioned above, if your grades do not meet your predicted grade performance, the university shall rescind your offer; it happens every year. You need to maintain your grades and you'll be fine, and given that its just the start of June now, I'm assuming you haven't even taken all of your exams yet.

No, I specifically called and asked and they said that my offer is not conditional on anything. Yes, they said 'we ask that you keep up your academic performance' but it's not conditional on acceptance - I suppose unless I get like DDD.
And the grades don't come out until 2 days into orientation. They can't really rescind my acceptance after I've paid and traveled over there.
