Re: Gym during summer holidaysThe opposite of what you think was usually the case at my old gym, completely dead on nice days, great time to be a member.(Original post by andrew_c)
Is it worth getting a membership during this period? I used to use a subsidised scheme through my college and it was ok. However i was wondering due to the weather and it being summer holidays whether the gym would be packed out and i wouldn't get much use?
Busiest time of year at the gym I used would be the first months of the new year, all that new year resolution nonsense.Last edited by SubAtomic; 29-05-2012 at 20:44. -

you could always try your local gym and ask if they have teen fit sessions?
That could work for you as its for a certain period of time for teens only.
oh well hope you find something that works for you xoxo
Thanks for your replies guys
, do you think £31.50 is too much for only dryside activites at all times?

Re: Gym during summer holidaysSee if they can reduce the price, read somewhere gym prices are not fixed. Sales targets and all that. £31.50 a month = approx. £1.26 a session if you go monday to friday (5 times a week) which is not too bad depending on what equipment you can use.(Original post by andrew_c)

Right now I can only make the gym twice a week so I pay separately each time. But in the summer, I'm going to get a monthly membership for £21. If I go to the gym 3-4 times per week then it's money well spent.
But you have to choose your gym carefully. You don't want to go to one which is packed full of massive hench guys who grunt and keep asking you to spot them. Consider this as well as price when choosing the gym. -
Re: Gym during summer holidaysYeah that was my theory too :P, haha i'm terrible at bench so i don't think anyone would want me as a spotter :L.(Original post by The Doggfather)

The outside world is my gym. Park for cardio, and good old calisthenics (Pull ups, chin ups, push ups etc) for muscle
Ah the joys of free exercise!

Re: Gym during summer holidays£31 is quite alot you know, there's definitely cheaper gyms out there. Anything less than £25 would be good enough. Also gyms are usually less busy in the morning and usually packed in the evening.(Original post by andrew_c)
