Kings College London accomodation application 2012
    Hi guys,
i'm just finishing off my application for KCL accomodation for my first year and I was wondering if you have to rank ALL of the options, because it does say that any applications to Liberty Living will be considered seperately, so I assume that by entering such, no matter at what ranking, will be considered an application, and I can't afford to live there

    Any tips?

Also, if anyone already lives in KCL accommodation, do you have any advice? Which are the best places to go for?

    Thank you!

I didn't include any I didn't want to live in, such as catered or single sex or the really expensive ones such as Liberty House. I figured it gives me a little less chance but if they couldn't put me in any of the first 5 I put down then it's just damn unlucky. Plus for the price of the accommodation I don't want to be living somewhere I'm unhappy with, if it came down to it I'd rather get my own place than pay a fortune (MORE than my student loan) than live somewhere I don't want to.

I'm pretty sure if you get offered something you don't want then you can turn it down.
But if you get offered something not on your list then I assume that's because they don't have any more spaces in the ones on your list....I think you can also opt to be put back in the ballot but I'm not sure if its only for the ones ranked lower than the ones your got offered....

The ones you do not rank will be considered of EQUAL NEXT PREFERENCE, this is important, so rank every single one if you can so you definitely get the place you want most out of the ones available to you.

But yeah you can turn it down, they won't force you to live somewhere you can't afford because they can easily just offer it to someone else if you turn it down.

DISCLAIMER: sorry if this is wrong, best idea is to ring them and ask, they're very helpful!
