    Private accommodation suggestions?
I'm doing an MSc in Accounting this September. I'm looking for a private flat for 1 person that is not shared whether it's in the city or different areas. Where do most students who don't reside in the university's accommodation live? How much do they usually cost per month? What would be my best bets? I'll be attending the Wheatley campus, Which would be the closest?

I would really appreciate all the help I could get! Thanx

because oxford is a very student orientated place it will be hard to get a 1 bed flat cheaply. Unfortunately there isn't much accommodation at wheatley and so the best bet for you would be to live in Headington area and travel to wheatley with the majority of students. Bare in mind that this will be more difficult if you have a car as finding a place to stay with parking is extremely limited.

Dorset house which is student accommodation which contains studio flats cost £180 per week on a 50 week contract.

Thank you so much for the info!

What do the private flats prices in Headington range from (alone, not shared)? and do a lot of students in that area? Can you give me examples of places where I can find available flats?

    Thanxx again!

I couldn't tell you really as there aren't that many. Its rare to find people wanting a private flat in such a student orientated place. Best place will be to start looking at housing websites such as right move. private student housing itself will all be taken now by the 2nd and 3rd years who have been doing there accom since October last year

Hmmm.. I'll look into that. By the way, is it a difficult university? I'm doing an MSc in Accounting and I have no idea what I'm in for because I don't know much about universities in the UK...

Its a good university and the courses challenge everyone. But thats the point. You are doing a MSc which im not really knowledgeable on due to being an undergraduate.

What about the headington campus? If I were to drive from my private flat in Headington and commute to the Headington campus, How long would it take to reach it?

Google map is my best bet for you to give you a better idea of location. It depends on which side of headington you live. However you are studying accounting which is based in Wheatley
