    Howdy all

I'm starting my Games Design course in September at Huddersfield and I have my conditional.

Anyone doing the same course and is up for a drink at freshers? Be cool to make friends with people on the same course! In the meantime, here's a head banging emoticon :banghead:

well i finished college a couple years ago, and have since done a couple open university courses (one in games design).
i was a little lacking in points but i reckon my kick ass personal statement swung it for me

i sent off my application and 4 days later i got an unconditional offer

my track says "Congratulations! Your place at The University of Huddersfield (H60) to study Computer Games Design (G4W6) has been confirmed." still a bit of a shock since hud was the one that wanted the most points and i didnt actually meet the criteria exactly

i applied to sheffield, bolton, and 2 others that i cant remember but all near to huddersfield and they wanted interviews, portfolios or the like, but since hud was the one i wanted to go to i was happy

    you still in college then?

Sounds like it fell into place pretty well for you then! :P

Yeah I'm in the middle of my exams at the moment, so it's a work in progress getting into huddersfield, but everything should be fine, I'm doing 4 A levels so pooling the grades together will sort me out hopefully!

    Hey guys!
I've been a fresher before at hudds uni (transferring courses and so I'm a fresher again this year!)
Last year the freshers of 2011 had a MASSIVE facebook group.. and I cannot tell you how much help it was for me and many other freshers, to get to know people before you start uni. It's a daunting time in your life and becoming good friends with people before you begin your new journey makes it so much less scary!
And so as of today I've made a new facebook group, for the freshers of 2012! Join, you won't regret it!

    http://www.facebook.com/groups/317238345030854/

It may look empty now but believe me its gonna get big Just trying to publicise it as much as I can. You can now get info from me and other people who have been to hudds uni before and so can give you the most honest answers to your questions, as well as meeting new people when the group gets bigger.

So please help me out and join the group, you won't regret it! x
