    Buying an iPhone
Do you think I should just buy one now? Or should I wait until the iPhone 5 is released?

    Thanks

Well, maybe I should be more clear, what I mean is will the 4S be worth money when the 5 comes out, thus making an upgrade not too expensive, or should I wait it out?

I'm aware of all the arguments for and against but at the end of the day the new samsung is the same price as an iPhone. I would just like to know if people think it is worth holding out for the new iPhone that is apparently due.

I think personal preference is more important here, if you can wait and want the iPhone then go for it!

I like your thinking, but I know when iPhone 5 comes out I'll be like oh actually, I can probably afford that...

Wait it out. I would say there's not a lot of difference between the iPhone 4 and 4S anyway, certainly not as much of an upgrade as the 3GS to the 4. I think the 5 will mean more of a difference from the 4S as there was disappointment when that came out.

So, I ignored all advice and just bought one haha. Got a good deal through Quidco though, bought the iPhone 4S 16GB Pay as you Go from T-Mobile (I have a virgin sim) for £489.99 then get £70 cashback. £420 is quite cheap I believe.

Is the cashback hard to get back? Never really did it before. I know on ebay the 4s is going for £420 too. I am thinking I'm also going to go for the 4s, you happy you did?

No as long as you just click through from quidco and dont go on anything else, just buy the phone, it'll work. My cashback tracked after about an hour I think, it will take a while to be paid but it's guaranteed. I think you'd do well to find one going for £420 brand new on ebay, but remember the phone will be locked to t-mobile/virgin if you buy from t-mobile. I am happy yeah, my sister has one and I just think it's gonna be well worth it, even if there is an upgrade soonish.

    Re: Buying an iPhone
There most likely won't be an iPhone 5 until October 2012. Apple have never introduced an upgraded product in under 12 months. And why would they?

As soon as they do, their entire stock of all the older models is instantly, significantly, devalued.

The 4S was announced in October 2011, 12 months after the white iPhone 4 came out. I would put a lot of money on the iPhone 5/whatever they call it being out this winter.

Why would you BUY a phone? Go on contract. If money isn't much of an object then wait for the iphone 5 to come out but otherwise get the iphone 4/4s

iPhone 5 will not be much different. Get the iPhone 4 (as the 4s only has stupid siri as an extra) it will be the best decision you ever make

and an 8MP camera! I think the two are both good, but I would rather the 4s.
