Re: Country you would least like to live in
For me it would be boring countries, but my definition of "interesting" is probably very different from everyone else's opinion. So I would happily live in NK, Somalia etc., though only for some years, not the whole of my life.
Basically most countries are interesting and have beautiful spots, so which is the least interesting (in my personal opinion)...
Maybe Poland. Or Dubai (the whole of the emirates). Or some former Soviet republics, like the Ukraine etc.
Edit: 5 people from Eastern Europe or the Emirates can't stand the fact that someone would just not like to live in their homecountry

Re: Country you would least like to live inCompletely random and nothing to do with this thread but I read your spoiler. I thought Abitur was sort of like college/6th form and not secondary school? Correct me if I'm wrong! I'm german but wasn't educated there so don't know a lot!(Original post by Sir Fox)

Re: Country you would least like to live inFor the locals, yes. For white Europeans, no. I'm planning to travel NK in the future and have done my research - it's a pretty complicated and interesting subject, but there actually is tourism and NK is very concerned to make sure that white visitors are not harmed in any way. Doesn't mean it's a great country, but there are actually (though very few) white foreigners living there. For example the German Goethe Institut (similar to the British Council) has an office over there.(Original post by zaliack)

Re: Country you would least like to live inI followed the common definition (Secondary school (the term "high school" is most often associated with English-speaking countries, though the two are far from synonymous) is a term used to describe an educational institution where the final stage of schooling, known as secondary education and usually compulsory up to a specified age, takes place. It follows elementary or primary education, and may be followed by university (tertiary) education. Wikipedia). You're right, in the UK it would be the 6th form (or A2 levels), but other countries call it secondary school so I used this common definition(Original post by ibelongtoslytherin)

Abitur is both, the final exams and the school leaving certificate they lead to, officially called the "Hochschulreife" which enables you to study at university. Abitur is usually offered by Gymnasiums (the highest of the three common school schemes in Germany, the other ones being Hauptschule and Realschule).

Re: Country you would least like to live in
I don't think people are thinking about this enough. Why on earth has England appeared a few times? I am sure it really is worse than living in North Korea and African countries where you can starve to death quite easily or countries in upheaval like Syria where you are in serious danger of being caught in crossfire. Oh yes, England trumps these countries hands down..
There is a difference in saying England is a country I would not like to live in and counting it as the one you would LEAST like to live in. -
Re: Country you would least like to live inNo. Usually when we mean country such as Spain, France or U.S.A we mean what here is called a Sovereign State. There is a difference between a (constituent) country and a sovereign state.(Original post by Jordan_1)
Erhm yes...
So:
country = Sovereign State
England =/= Sovereign State
England = (Constituent) country, so
England =/= country
