Because it is an absolute, theocratic dictatorship which doesn't even allow women to drive, travel without their husband's permission, a country where a woman can be sentenced to torture for having been raped?! Because their 'legal system' knows punishments such as lashing, amputation, stoning, beheading?! The Iranian people are very friendly and the country is full of history and culture! And whilst I certainly don't condone the regime I would still visit the country as it really isn't half as bad as other countries in the world. -

Umm... about 99% of the country. Doesn't matter if they don't have relevant knowledge, the word develops the meaning of the common usage and in the context of the speech.

North Korea seems like a sound answer. Also somewhere like Libya/Syria, where you could get caught in crossfire very easily.
