Who is your favourite Hindu god and why?
I was talking to my wife the other day and we had a talk about "Who is your favourite God"

My favourite god is Vishnu, being a Great God, as he is the master of the sun and light. He looks over me on the bedside cabinet and makes sure I get up in the morning by shining light upon me and my wife. Also the snake which he rests upon represents my infinite and immortal love for my religion.

What is your favourite god and why?

I think all religion is *******s, but bloody hell, Hinduism is interesting. It's the only religion whose explanation and sense of cosmology even comes close to reality in terms of magnitude and complexity.

With re to Indian gods, I like the blue one (or is that most of them?)

    Why is he blue?
Because he wants to! Being such an awesome god and stuff. Did I not say he can shape shift into different forms. One day he's a blue guy with 4 arms, and next day he is the moon. BOOM

    Haha I like that explanation

Time for me to go watch the Mahabharata with English subtitles on youtube. So much more interesting than sterile Abrahamic religions

Edit: I would also say that I like Hindu gods and Hindus generally, because their gods seem to act more rationally, judging by their scripture. Whereas I fear the cruelty of Muslims, and I think the Abrahamic god is mendacious and evil

Umm lets make sense here.... Hindu gods are not real... sorry to say but it's the truth.

    Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is not a Hindu god BUT The God of all.

There are quite a few blue gods because blue is seen as a divine colour in Hindu mythology. I would go for Krishna as favourite because of the gita and what he proclaims in it.

There not supposed to be physically real, the over dramatized appearance of hindu gods serve as metaphoric and allegorical references to the various attributes of their personalities.

Jesus being a human being is weaker if not more than any of the human gods in Hinduism.

As an atheist I know not of Gods, If I had to pick a favourite Hindu follower it would be Mahatma Ghandi, for me the greatest human being of all time.

I'm no Hindu, but surely talking about Gods like this as if they are members of a boyband (picking your favourite, deciding which ones you don't like) is vaguely offensive? Just my opinion of course.

I pray to all the Hindu Gods, but Lord Shiva is my favourite. He is our creator, preserver, destroyer, concealer, and revealer. And I thank for each aspect.

Why do you think that the God believed by Muslims,Christians and Jews is evil?
I believe he is all loving
