Would Appreciate Some MA Advice
Hi,
I would appreciate any advice/input anybody might have regarding the decision I currently face.
I graduated last year from University of West England with a 2:1 in Psychology and Sociology. This last year I have been working for a very, very large international oil corporation in the Czech Republic in a 'person in contact' position managing the day to day running of various customer accounts.
It has always been my ambition to work in some sort of government/public sector, not for a corporation, however it is a good job with offers a wealth of experience to add to my otherwise utterly lack luster CV.
Now, I have always wanted to do an MA. Mainly for my own enjoyment, but also to increase my employability and chances of achieving my career goals. Here is the decision:
1. Do I take out a career loan, etc. get in a lot more debt and study an MA at a good level English university?
2. Do I study an MA at a 2nd rate university in Prague, part time, that the company will pay for in return for my dedicating at least 3 years more service for them?
3. Something else I haven't thought of
Any advice would be much appreciated. -

Re: Would Appreciate Some MA Advice
A fair question.. But, well - There isn't one really.
Charles university is the top here, but it offers no part time courses. I spoke to them asking if I could study part time despite there being no formal part time option and they said I could, but I would not be able to attend any lectures, seminars, etc. as they are all within the working week.
This, coupled with the fact that the company wont pay their high fees, rules them out in my mind.
