    Need a new bike
I wasn't sure where to put this, but basically as the thread title suggests I want to get a new bike (as in bicycle, not motorbike). I don't really want to spend more than £300, and I kind of want disk brakes as I've had a lot of trouble with v brakes in the past.

I'm going to be using it for exercise mainly, going round local parks e.t.c., so sometimes I wont be riding over a smooth path, but a muddy trail. From what I can tell a hybrid bike seems to be the best option for me, but I'm not sure which model to buy and where to buy it from.

So basically I'm looking for suggestions!

Oh and I can't get a Carerra Subway as my flatmate just got one ^^

Where abouts do you live? Are there any cycle hire shops nearby?

Go for a specialized, you can get a pretty good base from which to customise later on if you wish. The geometry is both trail and road friendly with the hardrock and rockhopper frames.
