Re: The TSR Jubilee cooking, baking & photo competition
I took this photo of the red arrows flypast on the day of the Jubilee, Tuesday 5th June. I was drawn from the public ballot to attend the event and was seated in the North Stand opposite the palace - the planes flew straight over me! Was such a fantastic day from beginning to end.

Re: The TSR Jubilee cooking, baking & photo competitionI'm afraid I didn't know about this until after I did my baking, and I know it won't win against the amazing things already posted, but I made viennese biscuits the other day, which are very British (I think!). They were very melt in your mouth
I also made a marble loaf cake recently, which I've got a pic of too

Re: The TSR Jubilee cooking, baking & photo competitionPresumably Viennese biscuits are from Vienna? That's in Austria(Original post by *Interrobang*)

Re: The TSR Jubilee cooking, baking & photo competition
Jubilee Baking Sunday; Homemade orange cupcakes with homemade vanilla butter icing piped on some as just learnt how and some with Britannia toppings. Then I made meringues for the first time (only pics of red and white as the blue was delayed lol but we used blue bowls) with hand-whipped sweet cream, strawberries and hand toasted almonds which I did for the first time as it all seems better finished at home.

Re: The TSR Jubilee cooking, baking & photo competitionThese are awesome!(Original post by JLKeating)
Jubilee fireworks from Monday evening, 4th June, after the lighting of a beacon on top of St Mary's Church in my village.
Lighting the beacon on St Mary's Church, Ponteland.
I can get larger ones from my main computer but I'm on my laptop atm.

Re: The TSR Jubilee cooking, baking & photo competition
Due to work (pah, it's not like I get paid for it!) commitments and other crap I may not have time to bake what would have been my main entry

I shall therefore submit a paint representation of what it would have been on monday if I haven't had time to make it

Re: The TSR Jubilee cooking, baking & photo competition
One of a batch of cakes I made over the holiday period, have a picture of them on a cakestand somewhere, law of the world that I can't find it!
Red, white and (greeney :/ ) blue.
Victoria sponge themed!
;Edit;
Forgot to put what I did on the day of the jubilee, movie day with my freinds, then went to see the lighting of the beacon in my hometown, up past the war memorial.
(If I can find the pics, I'll put them up)Last edited by Raterbee; 07-06-2012 at 21:40. Reason: Forgot something! -

New addition, extra orangey cupcakes with homemade vanilla butter icing and Britannia sprinkles and flags. Meringues to be made tomorrow. We wanted more after how good they tasted last weekend

My little random Jubilee scones
From my picnic on the living room floor- thanks rain.
(Yes that is arabian carpet in the background, cultural integration at its finest

Awesome photo! it also has a very "old" feel to it, like it's a photo from the 40s or something
I'm not sure if that's just me being weird though lol.

Re: The TSR Jubilee cooking, baking & photo competitionThanks! I took it on my Canon AE-1 so it's a scan of the developed film, some of the colours washed out so that might be why it looks old?(Original post by Sazzy890)
