So I've just bought a blue suit (over navy), much like this http://canadianz.us/wp-content/plugi...89_634x520.jpg what colour would you say that tie is? Also what colour shoes would suit best?

    Thanks

if you wear stupid coloured chinos with boat shoes and one of those plaid shirts,
you should be shot in the kneecaps

Hating on coloured chinos, boat shoes and plaid shirts. How original.

While I'll agree those items don't suit everyone and probably shouldn't be worn all at once I don't really see any problem with them. There's about a thousand other garments that look about a thousand times worse.

You will be fine with almost any tie tbh, a navy suit will just go with everything almost

That means I will need to buy a new Grosgrain bow tie, when I already have a silk one though.

Is Grosgrain really superior to Silk?

EDIT : And I do know what white tie is. :p: It is infinitely easier to deal with white tie because its aspects are more strictly governed than Black tie, which has all sorts of spinoffs and style twists.
well, where did u get ur bow tie from? hand tied ones arent that popular so i'd be surprised if its 'normal' silk. with my grosgrain fronted dj, i wear a silk barathea bow tie and u cant tell the difference between my lapels and my bow tie

I genuinely need help buying clothes... What does everyone think of Aztec t shirts/ polos? Or are they too common :/

I saw some brown/mustard chino shorts in h&m with a shirt and braces today! Definitely getting that

What shoes are good to get that go with most stuff and aren't too expensive (currently i'm restricted to multiple pairs of converse haha!)

Guys what colour shirt goes best or is the most safe with a charcoal suit for an interview/work?

Don't really wanna spend more than £30...I found these: http://www.next.co.uk/x49466s4#812747x49

That's fine tbh you don't want to venture too far outside the box for an interview. Can't go wrong with a white or light blue shirt.

Still looking for a decent denim jacket, I know a poster suggested a Levis one but they look rather poop in truth, I would prefer a more slim fitting one. Have spotted a brandless one on eBay for pennies which I may purchase, just waiting on the measurements from the seller. These allsaints ones look brilliant but they're rather pricey, will just splash out if I can't find any good ones though I've got decent hours at work atm. Will perhaps pop into the Bullring on Monday.

Brown soft leather military boots with contrast stitching. Saw a very similar pair last season but I'm struggling to find good analogues now.
