Haven't seen many long sleeve polos about, and those I have seen were much more expensive

Thanks Paddy(Original post by paddy)
Banana Republic for the £25 short sleeve polos.

! I'm not a fan of the long sleeve polos, I used to like them but as i've gotten older i'm just no longer a fan.

Re: The Male 'Fashion' Thread III
Since I'm coming up to my 3rd and final year of uni I've been thinking that a suit upgrading might be in order. I'm not too knowledgeable on the suit market and I'm on a fairly tight student budget (a couple of hundred pounds perhaps)... I was wondering if people think it's:
a) worth buying a suit for that price, or better to wait until I have a bit more money
b) where you'd recommend looking if you think it's enough?
I'm looking for a nice hopefully slim fit grey/navy and in an ideal world with a waistcoat too, though I'm not sure if that's unreasonable based on money constraints.
Thanks

Re: The Male 'Fashion' Thread IIIAgree with this pretty much. I tend to like buying from producers that I know offer good quality and well designed clothes that'll last well and look good. Once people start wearing things "because everyone else does" they become tacky and overplayed to the point of cringeworthiness in my eyes.(Original post by py0alb)
Having an idea of a few different manufacturers that, in your experience, make good quality/value items, yay.
Buying an item specifically because it is a certain cache brand with the intention of deriving social status from that association, nay. -
Re: The Male 'Fashion' Thread IIII DON'T KNOW THAT WORD!(Original post by paddy)
Ropey? I believe the word you are looking for is jute.
Got some desert boots from clarks today, very good quality indeed. -
Re: The Male 'Fashion' Thread III
will hopefully pick up some pairs of shorts this week. currently have a very casual pair of sporty navy lacostes, which i wear for running/lounging about and a pair of sort of camel chino shorts from river island and a pair of pale (but not really light) blue from river island also. both come to just above the knee.
would like a pair which have a good fit around the leg and can be both dressed up with a shirt or down with a tee. any reccomendations? budget is around £20-£30 for each pair. -

They are a little bit too short (only when rolled up) but obviously if you roll them down then they are just above knee length -

a) yes, but really only from M&S or TM Lewin (don't wear a waistcoat to interview please) and make sure it's 100% wool at the bare minimum

Re: The Male 'Fashion' Thread IIIThere durable enough for a quick kick around, there usually about 2 for £18 in most places, and usually they just last about 3 months so over the summer and then youll throw em away(Original post by DonBorat)
hi are espadrilles durable? they look flimsy and weak imo. Also do you reckon theyll last for light football
I guess if your looking for better quality espradrilles to last, then try toms ?, -

These are the moose hide nubuck boots which I got from Urban Outfitters for £79. They're so soft! -
Have you looked in uniqlo? They're doing a big thing on polo shirts ATM.(Original post by Jerry93)
Been looking for a light/pastel orange polo for a while now to no avail. Any one know of any? Hoping to not exceed £40. Kinda like this colour:

Re: The Male 'Fashion' Thread III
Need a suit/shirt/tie for prom, don't want to spend much over £100 for the suit.
Not terribly bothered about quality, don't expect to wear it more than once a year, wouldn't mind getting a fairly nice tie from somewhere though.
Any tips on where to look?
I'm probably a 36, which cuts down my options, usually going for XS in most places because I'm only about 5'7. Last year remember having to go to Topman to find somewhere that did suits that actually fitted.
Quite like the look of this, don't fancy a black suit terribly, even if it's just a very dark grey it'd be better.
