Acceptable colour for a suit in an office? Or too out there?

I'm gonna be working in an Accountancy office, for a regional office, not London.
From what people have said it's best sticking to grey or navy.

But I thought that it was grey when I first looked, it depends how vivid the green is really.

I'm sorry but that's a disgusting colour or a suit. It looks like a 70's suit and some sort of cheap material that will catch fire if you walk across carpet too quickly.

Accountancy is generally very formal so whilst being new just get a plain charcoal or navy suit. They will go with most shirts and ties and you can branch out to other suits the longer you work there.

I imagine you would be fine with that 3 piece but if you do have the others available then I'd go with them. Just don't wear the black suit

Black suits are for funerals, Italians and Reservoir Dogs enthusiasts. One thing they aren't is business suits in England :mmm:

(Business/barrister same thing in this instance.)

On the subject on suits, I have a traditional 3 button dark grey suit, a slimfit 2 button navy suit and a black tux. They seem to cover every occasion between them.

Pretty set for work clothing now. Could do with another set of shirts and maybe some brown shoes/belt but will wait a couple weeks to spread the cost out.

    Suits:
1 Navy, 1 Charcoal, 1 Old Charcoal if needed

    Shirts:
1 High Quality White, 1 Light Purple, 1 Light Blue, 1 Subtle Pink Check, 3 Striped Blue (different stripe types), 3 Cheap White if needed

    Shoes etc:
1 Black Round Toe, 1 Black Brogue, 1 Black Belt

    Ties:
1 Plain Navy, 1 Pindot Navy, 1 Pink, 1 Checked Light Purple, 1 Checked Grey, 1 Grey Patterned

I'm pretty sure this is suitable for an entry level graduate job. Is there anything I've forgotten about?

Seems pretty good to me. A burgundy/navy club stripe tie might be a good investment as well.

What's the best place to buy a summer jacket at the moment? The only coat I have is quite long and heavy and I'm looking for something lighter for the summer.

The only jacket I've found that I'm interested in so far is: http://www.selfridges.com/en/Menswea...5-MQU0366RE92/

Can anyone give me advice? Thanks!

Are you looking at slim or straight fit?

They're pretty standard to be honest. Obviously, they're not quite as skinny as Topman, but they still fit nicely.

Just remember our leg lengths are different to other shops- short 29, reg 31, long 33

Just picked this up, don't usually buy Hollister but it was only £14 and its a decent fit.

Going in to the shop reminded me why I don't buy much Hollister; it was a bloody awful shopping experience.

Slim fit ones tend to be nicer tbh, from what I've noticed. The fit on both of them is fairly standard. If you want something skinny, I'd try somewhere else.

Nice mate, that's a bargain as well. Shirt looks very nice, even though it is Hollister . Is there a massive sale going on there or what?
