Re: OCR Gateway Physics 30th May 2012 P1 P2 P3How did you get 30 m/s? I didn't have a clue how to do that question(Original post by shadab786ahmed)
It was 30m/s because it would have had to have been close to 32m/s for the next question... Anyway I used SUVAT and did s = u + v/2 t
And molecular bonds were being formed because it was cooling

Re: OCR Gateway Physics 30th May 2012 P1 P2 P3We're probs good (:(Original post by SweatyGoldfish)
Yeah me too. -
Re: OCR Gateway Physics 30th May 2012 P1 P2 P3
[QUOTE=alisonr;37841007]I wrote radiation as well
I wrote radiation too(Original post by bobbricks)
How did it go?
hmm I'm not sure, didn't do very well in the last section. The first two were ok. Found it harder than chemistry and biology:L -
Re: OCR Gateway Physics 30th May 2012 P1 P2 P3What did you write for the first question on why liquid A's temperature fell quicker than liquid B's?(Original post by shadab786ahmed)

Re: OCR Gateway Physics 30th May 2012 P1 P2 P3Yay! (:(Original post by SweatyGoldfish)
Yeah me too. -
Re: OCR Gateway Physics 30th May 2012 P1 P2 P3I wrotw(Original post by bobbricks)
What did you write for the first question on why liquid A's temperature fell quicker than liquid B's?
-perhaps different liquids
-so different shc -
Re: OCR Gateway Physics 30th May 2012 P1 P2 P3I wouldn't be too happy, I think its wrong :L(Original post by gcseis)
Yay! (: -

Re: OCR Gateway Physics 30th May 2012 P1 P2 P3i got that too... it might be wrong(Original post by SweatyGoldfish)
Yeah me too. -
Re: OCR Gateway Physics 30th May 2012 P1 P2 P3for the 2nd one what did you all write?(Original post by bobbricks)

Re: OCR Gateway Physics 30th May 2012 P1 P2 P3I wrote that braking distance could be affect by road conditions- e.g. icy roads will cause cars to travel further since there is less grip between the tyres and the road. Worn tyres will also reduce friction between the road and tyres...What did you write?(Original post by Jesus Condom)
for the 2nd one what did you all write?Last edited by bobbricks; 30-05-2012 at 18:00. -
I was looking at a level maths in mechanics modules and SUVAT equations are there... And it was average speed x time gives distance and you solve the formula...(Original post by SweatyGoldfish)
How did you get 30 m/s? I didn't have a clue how to do that question

Re: OCR Gateway Physics 30th May 2012 P1 P2 P3That's somewhat similar to what I wrote- the liquid may have been in a different room which had a lower room temperature. Do you think I'll still get a mark for it though?(Original post by shadab786ahmed)
I said it was because the temperature difference was greater...

Re: OCR Gateway Physics 30th May 2012 P1 P2 P3Yeah!i wrote thattoo because the greater the difference then the quicker the rate of cooling will be!!(Original post by shadab786ahmed)

Re: OCR Gateway Physics 30th May 2012 P1 P2 P3
In p2, there were questions on something to do with alpha radiation and a liquid, then why repeats were used, and then interpreting a graph on different radiation types.
In p1, there was a question asking to show that the frequency of a 1mm wave was 3x10^11.
That's all the other questions I can remember. I am trying to think of the rest. Hope this helps
Another for p1 was an advantage of DAB (1 mark), and something to do with interference for 2 marks.Last edited by stardude8; 30-05-2012 at 19:09.
