I'd be grateful is someone could answer this question

Re: OCR Gateway Physics 30th May 2012 P1 P2 P3That's annoying.(Original post by shadab786ahmed)
Well, I haven't started it, my chemistry was 46/48 but have to redo... Long story... (not cheating :P) anyway 28 is a C Or lower... My teacher thinks it's a D maybe. Because it's untiered it means it goes from A*-G so...
Although the highest marks someone got in my class was 35 marks!
-
35 is a B/C that was the average in my class... I got 46 next highest was 44 then 42 and 40 and the rest was below..(Original post by bobbricks)

Re: OCR Gateway Physics 30th May 2012 P1 P2 P3But isn't it strange how the average of your class was the highest is mine? There are some people who are very intelligent and have never dropped below an A but they did not do that well...Maybe the teacher did not mark our assessments correctly or too harshly?(Original post by shadab786ahmed)

It may be possible because the other top set in our year had well below 35 and she said she marked it wrong. After remarking they got 40s as well(Original post by bobbricks)

I think people think I get unfair bias... But I don't, I earned it! :L(Original post by ryanb97)

So... Ive got the C.A.T. When I go back to school (currently at work experiance)... We have got part 3 left... Is it hard.. Or is it like the speciman task... But the questions are the same I think for the new. Task anyway
Thanks in advance

It's just the same as the specimen with different questions, isnt it(Original post by ryanb97)

Re: OCR Gateway Physics 30th May 2012 P1 P2 P3
We're becoming closer to GCSE Results Day (kind of) so what do you predict the grade boundaries will be for these OCR Gateway exams (all sciences)?
Do you think they will be close to that sat in January? Or Higher/lower?
Also, if there are any people who sat these exams in January for these modules, and resat them in May, what did you think of them in terms of difficulty? -
I sat the first time in May... I don't know but I think it'll be higher than January, because it was a very easy paper...(Original post by BP_Tranquility)

I thought anyway...
But I would say about 55/75 A*? -

What are your thoughts for the other sciences?Last edited by BP_Tranquility; 09-08-2012 at 15:54. -
Re: OCR Gateway Physics 30th May 2012 P1 P2 P3The grade boundaries I would predict for the sciences would be slightly lower than yours (maybe I found the exam somewhat more difficult than you(Original post by shadab786ahmed)
Physics
as for biology, it was harder than expected but not hard.. I'd say 50 for an A*... Chemistry I'd say 58/75... But I could be very wrong!
)
My predictions:
Biology- 46
Chemistry- 57
Physics- 52Last edited by BP_Tranquility; 11-08-2012 at 16:39. -
They aren't that different(Original post by BP_Tranquility)

Never know(Original post by BP_Tranquility)
I'm preparing for the worst.
I'd love it if the grade boundaries were significantly lower to what I initially predicted (maybe 10 marks below).
may well be as we are the first year
