Best textbooks for A-Level Maths, Physics and Chemistry
I'm going to start self-teaching myself the following A-Levels:

    Edexcel Maths (Mechanics)
    AQA Physics A
    AQA Chemistry

For Maths the consensus from previous threads seems to be that these are the best.

What about for AQA Physics and Chemistry though? I have heard the official textbooks for these are quite poor.

    Any help? Cheers.

For maths seeing as you're on the edexcel spec, I prefer(and so do the majority of people I know)Heinemann Modular Mathematics for Edexcel As and A-level.

For physics, I don't really follow the book given by school either. Any of these books will do
-Advanced Physics for You by Keith Johnson
    -Physics By Roger Muncaster

You can view the books online through google to see if they are what you want.

I think you'd get much better replies if you made a new thread for each subject in the appropriate forum.
I'll have a look at the Heinemann books, and also make threads in the relevant sub-forums.

    Thanks for the reply
