Has this ever happened to anyone after a heavy night?
Basically I woke up this morning and my heart was beating really really fast, like unbelievably so and I was actually worried I was going to have a heart attack. I drank a lot last night but there have been nights where I've drunk more and I had lots of food and fresh air before I went to bed which I thought sobered me up quite a lot. It was about 4 hours after I went to bed that I woke up with this and about 6 hours after I stopped drinking.

Would appreciate it if people admit that they've had a similar thing happen to them, it's really really scared me!

If you drank drinks with a lot of caffeine e.g. red bull, then it was probably a caffeine rush. i get these occasionally after a heavy night and I don't think it's anything to worry about, but certainly don't be drinking to the extent that you get one on a regular basis. If you're worried you should speak to a medical professional
