Are my AS predicted grades good enough?
Discussion for A-Level students and for those choosing their A-Level subjects.

Re: Are my AS predicted grades good enough?Yes.(Original post by roflcakes1)
Your AS predictions aren't important... a lot of schools don't even have them. Do you mean - would the grades be good enough assuming these were your actual AS grades? -
Re: Are my AS predicted grades good enough?Well I haven't but to get into a specific enrichment course they needed to know my AS predictions near the middle of my AS year. Weird right? So my teachers have predicted me the following grades and I have done a module for law which I had got 100/100 which supports my prediction of my A*.(Original post by venenecinema)
A2 predictions, AS grades and in some cases GCSE grades are what they look at, not AS predictions. Haven't you done your AS levels yet anyway? -
Re: Are my AS predicted grades good enough? It's the end of my AS year. Thanks I will do that(Original post by roflcakes1)
Is this the end of your AS level year or GCSE year?
If you want to know if your predictions are good enough for the enrichment course then you'll really have to speak to your school/teachers as they'll be the ones judging

Re: Are my AS predicted grades good enough?some people refer to 90%+ as an A*(Original post by Calllu-m)
you can't get A* in AS. -
Re: Are my AS predicted grades good enough? That's what my teacher was telling me . So since I`ve already got 100 UMS on unit 1 I just need 80 UMS on unit 2 to get A* overall.(Original post by Helloworld_95)
some people refer to 90%+ as an A* -
Re: Are my AS predicted grades good enough?Just because people refer to it as an A* doesn't make it an A*, it still gets certificated as an A. Although it also means you need 30+ less ums at A2 to reach any grade below A*.(Original post by Nero213)

Re: Are my AS predicted grades good enough?Well done on the predicted A's and A* however I'm almost certain I've read that King's want A*AA as well as A at AS. In that case, your B in Ancient History would be problematic.(Original post by Nero213)
I am predicted the following for my AS:
Law A*
English Literature A
Economics A
Ancient History B
Will I be able to get into Kings College London of Law?
Seems not entirely fair seeing as UCL which is slightly higher in rankings requires A*AA+ a pass at AS. -
Re: Are my AS predicted grades good enough? But it's not an A*. It's an A. Doesn't matter if you get 90% or 80% it's still an A. I know it means you're in line to get an A* in A2 but you can't predict an A* in the A2 units until you've began them.(Original post by Helloworld_95)

Re: Are my AS predicted grades good enough? This, not to mention having an "A*" at AS has no extra impact then a B does in terms of getting an A* overall in the whole A-level.(Original post by Calllu-m)
