Yeah i did the first one too, i structured it so i wrote firstly about the communication and secondly the media, i believe on a previous thread i think it was current yr 11 thread mark that you want to do ICT ALEVEL... you are a brave girl
Oh I mixed it up lol, basically it was just about the negative stuff about ict and then sometimes made it specific like games and entertainment lead to addiction with recent newspaper stories about parents neglecting their children because of it. i thought it was communication and not entertainment, not media? oops :/ And Thankyou! lol, i kind of got pressured into it by a teacher I think it's good though as it applies o a lot of jobs. I just hope my coursework will bring up my fail of that exam. :s

awww, surely your coursework will give you some indication? and we get reports every term which let us know. I kind of think it's better though because i'm predicted 8 a*'s and 3 a's and I won't be able to get anywhere near that but it's what people are now expecting...

WOW! I ENVY you! No, seriously thats amazing just work hard and if thats what your capable of, you shall get those amazing predicted results God i envy you (In the most non-jealous, non-bitter way as possible as you most probably deserve the grades)

ahaha thanks but don't because there is no way after those exams I'm going to get half of them and all I'll be hearing is what went wrong? O thats bad luck etc. I never do as well, last year I was predicted 3 A*'s in my mocks and got 3 B's :/ Just maths left now and i'm not too hopeful for that. I wish I didn't know predicted grades. it's a lot more pressure and expectations but it's not like I can change it now...

no sorry I've got a lot of answers to questions but I have no idea if they are right :/
Wouldn't be possible if you put your answers up so we have an idea because I can't remember any of the answers that I put - even if they are wrong, we kinda have an idea!

sorry I can't seem to find them all, I had a conversation with someone about it. These are what i found or can remember, if you can think of anymore questions i'll probably be able to give you the answer.

    pop: post something.
    spam question:
    unwanted or unneeded email
the last box, which i forgot but was like the definition of spam.
rounded question had the '2' last.
why was the spreadsheet better than the database?
because it does the forumlaes for you, it has a better layout, its designed for maths, you can see it and edit it in one view, you can manipulate data and put it into a chart or graph.
    last q :
accuracy, bias ,relevance, credibility should be included.
    or
i did the one after and put overuseage, envrionment, addiction, laziness, gambling and then a few good points, communicating with distant relatives, entertaining people etc.
    greenhouse/ heat sensor one:
i put heat sensor. the first feedback would go back to the computer with the information that the temp is too high and the computer will lower it. put same for second one but other way round so it was too low.
    dp act one:
so i put it had to keep secure and the other one i think was about only keeping relevant information.
the input was webcam and scanner.
    output: printers, plotter
    software: operating system
formatting the spreadsheet: varying font size, colour fill, bold
    powerpoint one:
slide transition- movement from one slide to the next. eg. checkerboard will make the slide appear with all squares before moving into next slide.
    2 pieces of advice:
make font bigger for a piece of advice
make text filled white to stand against background
other advice on the employee responsible one:
clear history, dont give personal information, make sure there is https or a lock symbol when giving information, do not watch porn, tell them about consequences of getting caught- fine/ jail time, dont download unknow emails, dont go on untrusted websites, only use the next for work puporses.
    CD rom as storage device.
phishing was to get bank details.
isp provided internet and email packages.
definition of broadband : fast wireless internet connection that didnt require dial up
check you could use was range check
why was the date highlighted- because it would be a near impossbile date making the patient over 150 years old.
webcam: deter criminals, catch criminals, invasion of privacy.
2dp was the rounded number as it was money.
the formatting in the cell was currency.
gui and modern driven were the other interfaces.
internet better than phonecalls because you can see the faces, cheaper.
    headings: actual outcome, modifications needed?

'Modern Driven@', isn't it 'menu driven'?

I put internet is better than phonecalls because the line can be much better especially when speaking to people in foreign countries.

    I also put heat sensor.

Isn't it possible to have a look at the actual paper somewhere? If i get it off my teacher, would I be allowed to upload it?

i know that wouldn't have been much help but somebody asked me to do it With a lot of the questions though there will be a lot of answers. The paper won't be available online for a while because they used it for the current year 10 mocks next year. i'm not sure about the rules of you uploading it. I think you'll be allowed to retype it on here but obviously thats effort.

No, there was a lot of help there! Good to know mine and your answers are quiet similar. On the 'behaviour online' question, i didn't write much, however it looks much easy looking at your answers now. What about the Propiertary software and opensource software question? What did you write?

I didn't know what it was so wrote really bad answer which is mostly incorrect. the right answers- according to my text book- was that anybody can use and access open source software, propiertary software is easier to control and manage, normally just having one person in charge but is more expensive.
I can't remember any other points...
